DeLonghi PACA120E Portable Air Conditioner

Pros: The remote control is a handy feature, but that's about it.
Cons: It leaks! It is very loud, doesn't cool well, and the LED display is annoying.

I purchased a DeLonghi A120E from Newegg in May 2008 because DeLonghi has an excellent reputation. We used the unit in our bedroom occasionally for a couple months without a problem. Then, we began to notice it leaked after brief uses. I hooked up a drain tube to the small water drain at the bottom rear of the unit, but to no avail. Using it for just a short time will cause it to leak copious amounts of water. It ruined our carpet before we realized it is simply not usable. I've contacted DeLonghi customer service by e-mail. We'll have to see what they will do about it.

When I bought this pinguino I was skeptical on its effective utility. It made me completely change my mind! It can get the room as cold and nice as being in winter time and in such a small amount of time. 
The dripless function allow it the run for long time so my room is at the perfect temperature when I get home. 
I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more during the hot summer.. 
Great product, I strongly recommend it!

So far the only advice from customer service has been to bring the unit back to the store where I purchased it.  This implies an unfixable problem which in turn suggests poor design.  I would not purchase this unit again.

Cons: Leaks badly. Caused $600 worth of damage to my bedroom

This system does work, but nearly every review you see complains that it leaks badly. This was my experience as well. It's not worth the money.

Cons: I'm on the third replacement unit supplied directly from DeLonghi and it still leaks.

It's a bit noisy but powerful.  I purchased this unit from NewEgg, and within a few weeks it was leaking water. 3 replacement units from DeLonghi later and it still leaks.  It's only been a year, and I'll continue to work on a resolution with DeLonghiUSA.  If you have such a unit, try putting it in a large shallow pan, like the top lid of of a Rubbermaid storage bin and sponge the water out of it when the lid gets full.  Not good.

Cons: Leaks, leaks, leaks!

I have read the other reviews, and want to add my review to the list - my unit has the same leaking problem. It's Fall now and I won't use it for awhile. But I wonder if anyone has heard from the company about the problem. I bought mine at OSH in California.
If there is no solution DeLonghi should recall them all!
