Pros: great food, entertaining show Cons: misleading information on website, show may not be considered "politically correct"
Our tradition when we visit Disney World is that we treat ourselves and our family to one Dinner & Show each time we go. Weve visited several off of Disney property that didnt really impress us. However, Id read a lot from people who had ...
Pros: Service is great, show is great, price is fair for all that is included. Cons: Coridors are somewhat crowded while being escorted in and out of show
The Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge is very similar to the one in Myrtle Beach. It is very enjoyable and I feel very reasonably priced. For around $43.00 for an adult you get about 3 hours of entertainment and gobs of food! Where else can you go ...
Pros: Great family entertainment. Very Patriotic Show! Wonderful food and service! Cons: NONE!!
Our family just loves the Dixie Stampede. We used to live near Branson so we would make the dinner show about once a year alternating the Christmas Show or the regular show. It's a favorite of our kids. They have locations in Branson, Mo., Pigeon ...
Pros: If you aren't too jaded [like me], you might find it fun. Cons: Too much dumb filler - not enough horses/talent. Food just passable.
The only dinner show vaguely like Dixie Stampede that I have been to before was the Disney Polynesian Luau, but my brother and family did and enjoyed Dixie Stampede previously, so we agreed to go with an open mind and the knowledge that this was to be ...
Pros: A foot stomping time - you can't help but smile. Cons: Nothing - I loved it all!
I am a fan of Dolly Parton and country music, my husband is not that big of a fan. I convinced him to go for the food. We were greeted by Southern Belles dressed in antibellum attire, went through the gates to take our picture (of course we need a ...
On vacation this summer, my family and I went to Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede for dinner one night. I was told that it is kind of like Medieval Times, but had never been there to compare the two. Regardless, I was looking forward to the entertainment ...
Pros: Fun for the kids, horse stable outside, unlimited drinks, safe for young kids to watch Cons: bit boring, no utensils, no alcoholic drinks
I went to the Dixie Stampede located in Myrtle Beach on US 17; it is a dinner show with the audience being involved. Similar to Medieval Times, it has the different sides of the theater cheering for different teams, the North and South. There are no ...
Pros: Great food - great entertainment for adults and children Cons: Nothing - loved it all
Our family visited Pigeon Forge earlier this year and intend to visit in November also. Dixie Stampede was a place that we were very glad to have visited and will definitely put on our list of things to do on our next visit. We were running late and ...
Pros: Unique and the crew has much talent. Cons: $4.25 for a Pepsi after a $43 cover charge seems like a ripoff.
I personally got aggravated and mentally resigned myself from the place during the first 10 minutes of getting there. $43 a person to get in and then... ...they asked us $4.25 for a Pepsi? I hate to feel like I'm being ripped off. It's not often my ...
This show is great for all ages by jacket2230 ,Dec 01 '05
Pros: Great food great show Cons: none
My husband and I went to the Dixie Stampede in TN and loved it. We are going back in Feb. and we are taking our 3 year old son. The food was great and the show was unbelievable. If you are going to TN, make sure you stop by and see this show!!!
My family & I visited the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN in April 2005 and we loved it! The show was nice and you couldn't help but have a good time. The food was good too.
The restaurant is very nice, inside and out. The women who work there are all dresses in the beautiful long victorian style dresses. The men and women who serve you are dressed nicely too. The show is great. They have a stampede of the buffalo's, pig races, ostrich races and several performances of people on horses.
Its pretty much the north vs the south and you have to cheer on the people and animals. Its very interactive with the audience and I think that makes it really fun. My kids loved the animals and screaming and cheering them on to help them win.
The Menu consists of a roasted chicken, seasoned baked potato, corn on the cob, creamy vegetable soup, a garlic biscuit and their signature dessert. Plus you get unlimited pepsi, diet pepsi or tea. Everything was delicious!
Its a good dinner & show. I can't wait to go again
Dixie Stampede SCAM by Management by trader_144 ,Nov 29 '09
Pros: Great horses and theatrics. Fast service Music not too loud. Cons: 3 minute video of Dolly Pre-recorded music and lip synching.
Warning: before you leave your house make sure you call the Dixie Stampede and have them fax your seat confirmations to you; you will need this extra security when you arrive. Ron Jett is the General Manager, phone 417.336.7960.
Why? They overbook the seats (like an airline) and when you arrive and they are out of seats, they try to convince you that your reservation was not done properly.
When they tried this scam on us we called our travel agency and had the travel agency fax over the confirmation of 7 seats received directly FROM Dixie Stampede (fortunately the agents were in the office)...and guess what? Ron Jett magically found our reservations in their system!! Magically, he also "found" us a spot, together, in a less expensive seating area and said they made a mistake in checking us in.
When we were seated, we found out that the new seats we sat in were also overbooked and they asked if we would move (of course we said NO).
True story on Thanksgiving, November 2009. Get there 2 hours early (not kidding).
