Pros: light weight, reusable HEPPA filter, consistent suction after 1 year Cons: price, performance, the Dyson Ball, flimsy overcomplicated construction, lack of rotating brush action
This vacuum was not purchased, but given as a registry gift to my wife and me. I had never been willing to previously shell out the money for the much more expensive Dyson vacuums. However, having a gift registry where you don’t ...
Pros: Extremely lightweight, maneuverable, versatile, easy to store anywhere, washable HEPA filter. Cons: Not as powerful or fully-featured as larger vacs.
This is a great little vacuum from Dyson. I used to have the original, non-Ball, DC07 Dyson, and it was a good machine, still going strong with no problems at all after four years. But for me it was very heavy, cumbersome and kind of hard to maneuver. I ...
Pros: Cleans well, not too loud, very compact, no bags, easy to manuver Cons: Cord is way to short, small dust bin, hardwood floor button sticks to power button
Having had several less expensive vacuums over the years, we decided to pay a little more in hopes of a better unit. Much of our carpet has been replaced with hardwood floors, so we needed one that allowed the beater bar to be turned off for use on ...
Pros: lightweight, retractable handle and small size makes storage easy in small home Cons: high price, tiny dust cup, short accessory hose, ball won't fit under furniture
Due to arthritis, I was no longer able to use my trusty-but-weighty (and now discontinued) Dirt Devil bagless vacuum cleaner to deal with the effects of a dog, a dirt yard, and a naturally dusty old house. At 11.6 pounds, Dyson's DC24 was the lightest ...
Pros: effective, light, easy to manoevre Cons: ugly, noisy
My mother lives on a farm, and she has a stinking black labrador and two cats in and out of the house all day. So it follows that she needs a very good hoover, in order for the house to not need a visit from Kim and Aggie! I don't mean to be mean ...
Pros: Superior cleaning and allergy removal. Easy on floors. Lightweight and easy to use. Cons: Expensive.
This could be the best vacuum cleaner ever by Dyson. The DC24 comes with Dyson’s patented ball technology and it includes all of the following features: a motorized brushbar, washable HEPA filter, clear bin, auto height adjuster, and a combination ...
Pros: compact, lightweight, easy to store, easy to maneuver, cleans well. Cons: Small fill cup requires frequent emptying, short power cord
When I first pulled this out of the box, I thought it looked like a child's toy vacuum! It is really that compact. The DC24 upright is easy to maneuver and store. For health reasons, I needed to trade in my heavier vacuum for something ...
Pros: Compact, light, highly manuverable, great suction Cons: Sucks up small area rugs when the beater brush turned off.
Just purchased this vac last month from Target for $399. It only took 5 minutes to put together with no hand tools whatsoever once uncrated. Its head width is a little smaller than the Dyson DC25 by ...
Pros: Lightweight, ball makes it easier to steer, fits into tight spaces. Cons: Cord too short; instructions unclear; flimsy parts; small dirt chamber; Suction okay; inconsistent; buttons stick.
I have wanted to try the Dyson for a few years now, but was scared off by the price tag. Finally found a pretty good deal price-wise and bit the bullet. We have a Lab/Australian shepherd mix who, of course, sheds a great deal. We haven't quite ...
I bought this vacuum on sale about 8 months ago, since then it's gotten a lot of use. I appreciate the small size and bagless vacuum style, but overall the vacuum feels pretty flimsy. It's a chore to set up the hand brush. The suction power is good, but cleaning out the vacuum can be tricky and more than once I've dumped the contents of the suction chamber all over my floor. Overall even though I bought this on sale, I feel like I could have gotten a vacuum with the same performance for a much better price. I would not buy this vacuum again.
Don't bother with this Dyson by rxcrystal ,Jun 06 '09
Pros: Lightweight, compact Cons: Requires a lot of work just to make it work. Short cord.
When my 10 y/o Wind Tunnel finally bit the dust I went shopping for a new vacuum. My house is a smaller two story with hardwood and tile floors. So, I wanted something compact (100 y/o houses lack storage space!) and lightweight to go up the stairs. I did get that with this machine, however it would be nice to have one that actually worked also. I constantly have to take it apart to get it to suck, (well it sucks, but not as in "it picks up dirt") and fiddle with the buttons to get them to turn on or off. A previous review mentioned that problem also.
Every time I try to get on the Dyson website for help, it times out. So can't even get support from that arena either! I've found most of my answers on fixya.com
Waited 45 years for this one - love it!!!! by wilkin1 ,Feb 04 '09
Pros: small. love the ball. easy to empty. handle goes down for storage. washable filters. Cons: filter in ball hard to get to. cord isn't long enough.
Extremely happy with this powerful little unit. Smaller than I expected. Works fantastic in my 2600 sq. ft. house. It's full of hardwoods and some carpet. I once dreaded pulling out the old heavy dinasour now it's alot more palitable. Will use this one until it dies and then go out and buy another.
