Pros: It advertises to save you lots of time cleaning your pool... Cons: More work for someone who is looking for less work...
The choice between having an in-ground pool or above-ground pool was not a problem, when I mentioned it to my husband about six years ago, his answer was very clear. If you want the boys to have a pool and you know they will be growing up and leaving...
Pros: Does a light vacuuming job for those in between times. Cons: It is a bit on the expensive side.
When my husband and I put an above ground pool in this past summer (2007) this is one of the things that I insisted on for the pool. I did not want to be tied down to constantly having to spend alot of time vacuuming the pool every week and thought this ...
Pros: moderately easy to install Cons: doesn't work well with ladders or steps, it noisy, doesn't clean the cove area well
This automated cleaner is supposed to save you many hours time on cleaning. It does, if you are not going to be using the pool for 2 weeks while on vacation. Otherwise, it's generally more of a pain than anything else. If you have a ladder, you have...
Pros: Cleans flat surfaces very well. Cons: Noisy, sharp angles can cause the unit to get stuck for awhile.
I have an above ground pool with the expandable deep end liner. This unit uses a flapper to vacuum/move which tended to be very noisy (it sounded like someone clapping) and the automatic regulator is no help (it would probably be better if the unit came...
Pros: Easy to use Cons: Does not clean the pool very well
When we got our EZ vac with our pool I was thrilled. I thought it would be nice to put this thing in the pool and not have to worry about cleaning the pool myself. I was wrong.
It is easy to assemble and easy to get started. That is the good...
Pros: It cleans for the first 5 min. Cons: It quits working after 5 min.
I put this vacuum in and in 5 min I have to move it. I stop hearing the loud clicking noise. I will clean it shake it and 5 min later is stuck again. I end up having to take out the pole hook it up and vacuum by hand. The hook up was easy enough. The...
Pros: Easier to keep submerged than the old pool vacuums. Cons: Gets stuck on stairs and tends to clean same area of pool.
I thought this was an "automatic" vacuum cleaner?
I have spent more time guiding this little stinker through the pool than have spent swimming ! I must admit though, it is one step up from the old type of vacuum which had to be held down...
Pros: Cleaned about 1/4 of our pool very thoroughly. Cons: I had to clean the other 3/4 and hook up time isn't worth it.
When we put our above ground pool in, we got the biggest one available. It is a 30 foot round. We recently also got a deck for it. The pool came with the vacuum cleaner and we were told we would have "no work" as far as cleaning went. I am the house's ...
It IS the ultimate time saver!! by bigdrig ,Mar 29 '04
Pros: Keeps pool nice and clean, easy to install, saves you time. Cons: Makes a clicking noise.
I can't understand the poor reviews the other reviewers gave this product! I bought one of these units last year, after I had had enough of vacuuming the pool every other day by hand. It was very easy to assemble (one of the other reviewers couldn't tell the difference between male and female hose? I mean, c'mon!).
It works great. The random action eventually covers the entire pool floor, and removes all dirt and debris from the floor. I only have to run it for maybe an hour a day, that keeps the pool nice and clean. It is a smaller above ground pool, 18' diameter. The unit does make a clicking noise, but it's not very loud.
Pros: Saves time, does 95% of my above ground pool with deep end. Cons: The clicking but hey turn it off while you're swimming.
I opened my above ground pool this spring and found it to be very, very dirty. I was looking at hours and hours of cleaning ahead of me. Then I saw the ad for this and figured what the heck - maybe it will save some time.
I've only used it for about 3 weeks but its reduced my vacuuming time from 30 hours to about 2.
Pros: Daily cleaning, Easy setup Cons: Stop up with leaves after a big storm
I have had my Ez Vac for about 5 years . I can't imagine not having it. I have no problems with it. I can see how the clicking sound might bother some people, but I have my pump on a timer. It runs at night and in the morning when there is usually no one around. As far as it getting caught in the ladder, I had the same problem at first. I just took one section of the hose out, and it works fine. If we don't get in the pool for a week, the dirt will build up around it. But if we are in the pool a couple times a week, I don't notice it. Mine has never gotten tied in knots.
I vacuum my pool once a year after I open it. The Ez Vac does the rest.

Pros: Makes A Clinking Noise Like A Swarm of Cicadas Cons: Everything..This Is Garbage
This thing is a total piece of garbage. I spend more time trying to get it into the pool and trying to work than just picking up the darn old fashioned pole vac and doing it myself. It just sits at the bottom of pool and does nothing. It will only move around if I stand with it and move it up & down every 5 min. to get the suction returned. Also, it enjoys tying it self into knots. This was my second and last season with this. Maybe some poor sucker will buy it off of me on eBay is all I can hope for after spending $250.00 and countless wasted hours fussing with it.
