Pros: a high performance saw that lasts longer than other high revving saws Cons: price out of range for amateur cutters
While it may be true that the chainsaw market is hotly contested, it is generally regarded to be truism that Echo Chainsaws have earned their reputation amongst professionals for their outstanding performance. However, it is their long lasting quality...
Pros: Very lightweight. Good power. Very reliable. Cons: None.
I've owned five different brands of chainsaws, but it is easy to see why this saw is preferred by arborists, and as the saw to carry up in the tree with you as a professional tree trimmer. It starts easily, has excellent durability and reliability, ...
Pros: Efficient fuel and bar oil use. Very lightweight! Runs great! Cons: Takes 2 or 3 pulls to start even when it is warmed up.
I actually have the CS-306 but didn't see anywhere I could write about it on Epinions so I put it here under the closest matching model that I could find. My other saw that I've had a long time is a big old Homelite that always works well and starts ...
Pros: It runs ok Cons: Flimsy,
Hard to get parts

Pros: saw is OK Cons: The system in place for ordering parts leaves the customer out in the cold

Pros: Starts easy. Cons: Very poor design with air intake on Front of the saw
This is supposed to be a great chain saw. It good good reviews from Epinions and Consumers Reports. It was a bad purchase for me.
After reading reviews of the Echo chainsaw, I purchased the CS346. I cannot recommend this saw. The air intake is located on the front of the saw and three different times, no matter how hard I tightened the cover, it vibrated off. The last time, material got into the motor and ruined the saw. It starts easily but will not hold compression under load. When I took it back to the dealer, I was explaining what had happened and another customer who just happened to be there, said the exact same problem. The dealer said this was "misuse by the customer" and would not repair it even though I was still under warranty.
