Don't let the title of Depeche Mode's latest effort fool you. The only thing "exciting" about this consistently dreary effort is that it is their first album of new material in four years. Still, that's not saying much.

When you are dealing with a band as prolific as Depeche Mode it can make you wonder when the magic will run out. After all there are few bands who can claim to have released material as consistently good as this since the early 80’s.
