Last Spring, it seems that we saw commercials for Floam on television on a daily, if not an hourly basis. Each time my daughter saw such an advertisement, she begged me to buy it, and though I was not sure what it actually was or if I wanted it ...
Pros: Kids like it. Cons: Kind of messy, doesn't stick to things.
I really don’t know what I was thinking when I bought a package of Floam for $7.42 for 2 (3.5 oz.) tubs. My youngest had behaved so well in the checkout line at Wal-Mart, (she did much better than me, we stood there about 20 minutes), so this was in the ...
Pros: Not a one Cons: Sticky, nasty, smelly, unworkable, doesn't wash off, ruins clothes and hair
Luckily, we didn't fall for the television advertisements for the multiple-tub kits of Floam with all the accessories (and the shipping and handling fees.) On an impulse, we grabbed a single tub for my 4 and a half year old on the clearance shelf at the ...
Pros: A neat idea, but the product doesn't meet expectations. Cons: Takes too much effort to get the product into a usable state.
We saw the Floam commercials on TV but had not succumbed. However, my son's grandmother brought him a tub of blue Floam on her last visit. The good news is that it can now be bought at large retailers in a single package, so it requires a smaller ...
Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Cons: It is expensive, it smells horrible and it just doesn't work.
I do daycare and my kids were begging me to buy this to use when we do arts and crafts. The kids who would use this range from 3-7 years. The floam has a age guideline for 5 and over but with supervision I did not find this to be a problem with the ...
The commercials (of course) make it look so easy and fun to play with. Our two boys ages 8 and 6 had this at the top of their list for Santa. We just took it out today to play with it and it is nothing but one big gooey mess! It does not mix at all. You ...
Pros: the kids stopped asking for some Cons: my house smells like dead people
Ok Ok so we gave in and purchased floam from a major retail store. While we haven't had the problems that others have experiences (the kids were able to make it hold shapes with no problem) it bothered me that the packaging was so vague. My kid's age's ...
Pros: NONE Cons: It is a sham, a crock, it doesn't work, stains everything.
Today we bought perky pink floam in the 3.5 oz tub. It TV commercial states,"Floam is fun you can feel... Roll it, mold it, cover it, thats the way you Floam it! Kids love Floam! With Floam in your hands the fun never stops. You get 3 Double Size ...
Pros: NONE! Cons: unusable product, nonexistent customer service, and overpriced
My 5 year old son asked Santa for this for Christmas. "Santa" paid $19.95 for 4 double sized tubs and another $12.90 for priority shipping so that it would arrive in time. Although it no longer goes under the RoseArt name, it seems to be the same garbage ...
Pros: Very fun. Sticks to many surfaces. Not messy. Cons: Not enough colors. The tub isn't too airtight, so it may dry out.
I must say the a completely disagree with the negative reviews on Floam. Other reviewers ordered theirs, so that may make a difference in the quality. I bought mine from Target. It did as the commercial stated. It sticks to many surfaces, even slippery silicone, and comes off easily. Foam beads don't fly and make a mess when using it. When you get it, it is very important to mix the gel and foam beads. When you buy it at a store, it costs around $7.
Pros: ROLL IT IN A BALL AND THROW IT AT YOUR WORST ENEMY Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST....
Where do you start?...Floam is sticky and has bad consisteny. It smells bad. You can't get it on your clothes. You cannot mold or craft it as seen on TV.
I truly believe its created by some marketing people who came up with a unique product that could not work but felt they could make a fast dollar with it so when ahead with it anyway. SHAME ON YOU. As you can read the many other SAD reviews there are many others who have been DUPED into buying this waste of a time product. I feel sorry for all the disappointed kids who have tried unsuccessfully to play with this product.

When my son and I opened our tub of Floam, the smell nearly knocked us off our feet. We tried to mix it up but touching this stuff made me want to throw up. Once it was "workable" we tried to cover a small ball. It took days for it to dry enough to pick up, and the stuff still smelled! I've never experienced anything like this before and hopefully I never will again. It's too bad I was required to put one star on the review, since I wouldn't put any if I could.
Horrible, horrible product by lisabootoo ,Jan 01 '07
Pros: None come to mind. Cons: Sticky, messy, difficult to clean up.
I purchased a small container of this junk for a stocking stuffer and was terribly disappointed. I seem to have had the opposite experience than most of the reviewers who say it wouldn't stick to anything. Our problem was that we couldn't mold it to anything because ours was so incredibly sticky that we couldn't get it off our hands. In fact, it stuck to everything else EXCEPT the one place we wanted it to stick. It was as though we had stuck our hands in Elmer's glue and then into some Rice Krispies. It actually ruined my son's shirt because after about 10 minutes of picking and peeling I still couldn't get it all off. I ended up trashing the shirt for fear that if I put it in with the rest of the laundry the floam would actually adhere to our clothes during the wash cycle. It also stuck to the table and I'm still scraping it off. I followed the directions and tried working with it, but that just made it worse. Just awful.
Pros: My kids now know that things are not always as they appear. Cons: My kids were very disappointed after this purchase.
The kids in this house say, "Floam is sticky, gooey and it's hard to make stuff". After months and months of listening to my kids beg for product because of it's intriguing television commercials, I finally broke down and purchased a tub at our favorite craft store. We expected it to be similar to 'Play-do', and it is not at all. I had to knead it for 15 minutes before the kids could even use it and, even then, it is a total disappointment. This morning, two days after our initial $7 investment and attempt to enjoy the product, we tried it again. It remains a disappointment. We found it impossible to mold it into any of the shapes as shown and described on the television commercial. It is nothing but a mess of goo and styrofoam beads.
