Pros: Efficient, economical, quiet, leaves clothes almost dry. No digital electronics to fail. Cons: Small soap/bleach tray, prone to circuit board/computer problems, cheap pulley design, tub will fail.
We purchased this machine in mid 2004. The 1st machine never spun. The circuit boards were no good. A repairman came out a week after delivery and replaced a circuit board and ran away before the 1st spin because he knew it ...
Pros: Quiet, Adequate Wash Capacity, Automatic Detergent Dispenser, No Fancy Gizmos or Digital Controls. Cons: Occasional Excessive Vibration During Spin Mode, Common To All Front-Loaders, Must be ABSOLUTELY Level.
I have had this washer for about 6 months now, and so far, no complaints. This washer replaced a Maytag Neptune that turned out to be a total disaster and waste of my money.(see my review for the Maytag Neptune 8700). The washer's tub is 3.1 cubic ...
Pros: water and energy savings Cons: unreliable, limited life span
I purchased the Frigidaire FTF530FS Front Load Washer after my old Speed Queen finally gave out. I liked the fact that front load washers use half the water, energy, and the clothes come out practically dry right out of the unit. However, I learned ...
Pros: Can be stacked, takes up little room, energy efficient Cons: Not reliable, leaves grease spots.
I purchased this washer 5 years ago. I was living in a small condo that laundry room was slightly too small to place a washer and dryer side by side. So I needed a unit that could be stacked. Most stackable units were very small, but this was a little ...
Pros: Holds a larger capacity than a top loader. Cons: Didn't work as well or as long as expected. Frigidaire service is horrible.
I purchased this machine about 4 years ago. It doesn't clean really dirty clothes that well, and as a mother with two young children, I quickly learned to spray a stain remover on my children's clothes before washing them to get them clean. I also had a ...
Pros: It is an energy star machine. It is stackable for compact spaces. Cons: Poor durability, poor customer service.
I purchased this machine originally in 2004. Less than two years later, I heard what can only be described as a small explosion. The Frigidaire representatives were extremely difficult, but I was finally assigned a Sears repair man to come out. The ...
Pros: Low price for front load. Water and energy savings. Cons: Too cheap, unreliable, leaks, breaks.
Our dryer broke down and we needed to replace it. After shopping around we had decided to buy a new dryer and washer as we wanted to have reliable appliances. We felt we were making a “good buy” by purchasing a new washer as well, even though ours was ...
Pros: Easy to use, fits in small spaces Cons: Small door; Limited Life Span
I purchased this washer along with the matching dryer about 6 years ago. I bought it because I could stack it in our small laundry room. It was less expensive at the time, front loaders were just becoming popular. I was very happy with it for the most ...
Pros: The controls are easy to use by a person with low vision. Cons: The machine is a poor quality item.
This machine needed a new motor after only limited use over a 2 year period. The washer is used to wash one or two light loads a week but can't hold up to that little amount of use. I purchased the machine for my elderly mother because the controls were easy to use. The quality of the wash is much less than I would have expected for lightly soiled clothing.
This is the second one of these I've bought. The first one lasted around 8 years. This one is not quite a year old and have not had a problem with it. This is a great machine for what it is. It's a small, efficient, inexpensive, washing machine. If you don't overload it, and don't over soap it, it works fine. I think most people who buy front-load machines think they are like laundromat front-loaders, they're not. Don't put anything in it you wouldn't put in a top loader, and you'll be fine. I don't care what you buy, nothing will last like something built 20 years ago. As far as price, compare it with other front-load washers. Most don't even come close.
Pros: Energy efficient, very quiet, leaves clothes very clean Cons: small but it will save you lots of space
I don't know what the previous reviews are talking about but this washer is excellent. It washes clothes very good and leaves them very very clean, much better than our previous top loader which was a Kenmore. This washer is also very quiet and best of all is energy efficient so it uses less water than regular washers, that's a big plus. You can also buy the dryer and stack it up on top of the washer, that's excellent for people that live in small apartments or people that want to save up space. I bought this washer about 4 months ago and I haven't had any problems so far, in fact I love it. The only thing I don't like I can't fit my bed comforter, which is big, but it didn't fit in our previous washer either, we have to take it to a laundry mat and use the biggest washer. Other than that I recommend this washer, please don't pay attention to previous reviews they can't even explain why they don't like the washer in the first place.
