Pros: Good sound quality, useful features, reasonably priced, unobtrusive size. Cons: Small size makes hands-free operation difficult.
I don't give a hoot about electronic gadgets. Give me something that'll work when I plug it in and I'm a happy girl. So, when our ancient cordless phone finally crapped out, I wandered into the local discount store like a true electronics ignoramus and...
Pros: Good battery life, decent features, attractive design, good sound quality. Cons: For the price I had payed, I wish it had an answering machine.
I picked up the GE 27910GE1 2.4 GHZ cordless phone about a year ago at Target, while looking for a new cordless. I had a VTech previous to this one, accidentally dropped and and kaboom it went. Needless to say, it ceased to work, and I had to get a new...
We bought this fine a few years ago to replace a Panasonic that got dunked in water. The phone has been OK overall, but not as good as the Panasonic. It does not feel as robust. The keypad numbers would sometimes not quite connect. Not a big deal, but ...
Pros: Futuristic style, many features, good reception even from distant rooms Cons: Difficult to get keypad to light up, slips easily out of charger
This phone represents some of the latest in cordless technology. There is a lot that GE got right. The reception is so crystal clear, even in distant rooms, that you forget you are talking on a cordless. The futuristic style means the phone looks as much...
Pros: Worked ok for a little while. Cons: Keypad stopped working for no reason.
All I wanted was a simple cordless phone for very light use. Based on the other reviews here I thought this would be perfect. I bought the phone online, new (not refurbished) and at first I was very pleased. Then, yesterday, (only a few weeks after I...

Smashed it to smithereens with a pickaxe by robbiewalters ,Apr 21 '05
Pros: Color matches formica in kitchen Cons: Better off using a tincan with some string.
Smashed it to smithereens with a pickaxe today, out in the driveway. Throwing away was not good enough, it must be completely destroyed, ruined my telephone experiences for years. Half the time does not connect, when it does, usually won't dial properly. Never buying another GE cordless for as long as I live.

This little 'phone is a great, basic cordless. It cost only $19.95 at Walmart, alot cheaper than I could find from Dealtime. It comes with a choice of 2 ringer tones, but they're not much different from each other. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a basic cordless telephone.
