Easily the Best Bike I've Ever Owned by mtb_boy ,Apr 20 '05
Pros: Derailer/crank set, Suspension, Lightweight, Good rims and tires, Extremely strong frame, Durable Cons: Decals peel back when hit by stones
Over the years, I've been through countless mountain bike, and this has been by far the most dependable. It has great components, reliable breaks, and a good strong suspension. I've had mine for four years and aside from some minor scratches, there is nothing wrong with it yet. I took it up on the appalachain trail five times, and the worst that happened was I got a flat tire. (By the way, the WTB veloci-raptor tires that come with the bike are really expensive to replace.) Now I've got a Connondale Jekyll 3000 (needless to say, I spent close to $3,000 on that baby), but the Aggressor is still my favorite.
Note: It is a much better bike than the rest of the Aggressor series which have recently been renamed.
GT Aggressor 1.0 is the best bike for the money, don't pass it up by mrbenmueller ,Oct 21 '03
Pros: Lightweight, great price, quality components, durable and a name brand you can trust Cons: No longer made :(
Duration Product Used: 1 glorious year
Price Paid: $600 (and worth every penny)
Similar Products Tried: Specialized, Giant, Gary Fisher, Cannondale and other inferior manufacturers.
Bike Setup: The finest Shimano has to offer. Deore components are way better for the money than Chris King, XTR, Cane Creek, etc.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a totally rad hard tail, look no further than this bad-boy. Salesmen will try to push more expensive bikes but for the money I'd go out and pick up a used (but not abused) Aggressor 1.0, nothing else even compares!
