Pros: nice design, shelf versatility, ice/h20 in the door, tons of space Cons: Stainless steel on front warps from cleaning, button for ice/water won't last long.
My family has had this fridge since November 07. We love the freezer on the bottom, and the french door design. The only problem is the apparently razor thin stainless steel that causes the front to warp. Light is reflected off the door fronts such ...
Pros: Dual evaporators. Independent cooling, higher humidity levels. No mixing of air between freezer/frige. Cons: Poor craftsmanship in wrapping the stainless steel skin over the doors. Excessive warping.
We purchased this model on 11/17/07 after an a three week ordeal with an LG's LFX25950TT we purchased from Home Depot on 10/30/07. I will write a review of the LG under that model #. This GE seems to be as good if not better than the LG LFX259xx ...
Pros: Ice and water in the french door, room for a deli tray Cons: Warped Stainless upon arrival and mandatory purchase of a short unusable flimsy plastic water line
My new GE Profile was delivered today. I was very excited until the packing was removed and I saw the warped and dented stainless steel on both french doors. Then we heard this is not an isolated incident. The delivery guys said every one of these models ...
Pros: Water/Ice in Door Cons: Ice maker design flawed - broken, replaced, broken again - still waiting.
After owning side-by-side refrigerators for 20 years, we thought that a french door looked interesting and worth a try. We looked at numerous models and chose the GE for two main reasons - the freezer was enclosed and not an open basket like many, and it ...
Pros: Great refrigerator in and out and customer service!! Cons: warped doors but G.E. took care of that with no questions asked!!
I looked at a lot of refrigerators from L.G. to Maytag..etc I was looking for a french door refrigerator. After careful review I choose the G.E. PFSS6PKWSS of course looks count the G.E. was a great looking refrigerator and one of the few with a water ...
Pros: Spacious with self closing doors Cons: There are no cons
Most Spacious Refrigerator I've ever owned. There isn't a Refrigerator on the market that even compares (with ice and water in the door). It actually fits!! This Refrigerator is not as tall as most bottom freezers and side by sides. I have a 12" deep ...

Not crazy at all about GE profile products by bellapony ,Jul 21 '08
Pros: I hate it much less than i hate the GE Profile dual fuel range.
Cons: Frozen vegetables, Stained stainless steel
We had this refrigerator installed in Dec. '07. The stainless has always been discolored in a few spots, especially around the edges of where the protective plastic used to be, so it always looks like it needs to be cleaned. Nothing seems to help, not even the stainless steel cleaner they provide. This wouldn't be bad to live with if it were the only problem, but its function is the real issue. The refrigerator portion freezes carrots, lettuce, fruits, etc. I've tried different temps, different settings in the crispers, turning off turbo and energy saver. Likewise, often we find squishy popsicles in the freezer. We are doomed to probably ten years of ruined vegetables.
Nice appliance but stainless steel finish was a huge mistake. by ajmiguet ,Nov 17 '09
Pros: Size, organization, convenient drawer freezer and french door fridge. Good wheels. Cons: Stainless finish, little door space for condiments. Weight
We recently purchased this fridge to update our kitchen to stainless steel appliances. We purchased the GE model because we liked the french doors, the lower freezer and the ice/water in the door.
We love the flexibility of the shelving and the slide out freezer drawer. The information panel can provide the temperature of both the freezer and refridgerator portions as well as allowing us to set the exact temperature.
We dislike the stainless exterior. We have come to realize that stainless finishes were a huge mistake. Scratches happen immediately and there is little you can do about it. There are dents in the door already from attempts to clean it.
The colored finishes on our previous appliances were so much more suitable for a home. I would advise against buying stainless appliances if you are looking now.
This appliance rolls fairly easily despite its size which is huge.
