Pros: Plentiful snacks, close enough to catch the Braves. Cons: Parking, unless you don't mind doing a marathon around construction.
There is only one reason to visit the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati and that is to watch the Braves beat the Reds. And that is the reason we went. Someone forgot to tell the weather man however because the game was called in the 5th, giving the ...
Pros: Great views of the surrounding areas; Warm and cozy Cons: High concession prices; Lack of parking
This year, 2003, brings a new look to Major League Baseball and the city of Cincinnati, Ohio. On March 31, 2003, the baseball season officially opened and as part of the festivities, the Cincinnati Reds presented their new home, Great American Ballpark....
Pros: Seating offers great views of playing field and panoramic Ohio River traffic. Cons: Not enough to do in downtown Cinci before or after the game.
I had not been to a Cincinnati Reds game since the days of the old Riverfornt Stadium. That day Ken Griffey Sr. hit a three-run first inning home run to spur a Reds first inning featuring a dozen or so runs. When I went back this summer nearly fifteen ...
Pros: Nice clean park, lots of room inside the stadium.Prices are good. Cons: Design is average at best.
Since this stadium is not completely finished it is fair to say this is not a complete assessment. But,the design will not change and the first thing I must point out is the eye sore located in center field! The batters eye/camera building is one of the...
Pros: The beautiful stadium and the great views (of the game and the river). Cons: There need to be more cheering fans- and not just when the Reds are winning.
I have been to several Reds home games in the past two years and, no matter whether the Reds are hitting home runs or in a slump, I always have a great time. We almost always buy the cheapest seats in the park- only $5. I often wait until the day of ...
Pros: good sight-lines, close seats, availability of cheap seats, views of the river. Cons: beer prices
I was skeptical about GABP when it opened. I thought that it was probably done on the cheap in order to appease the tax payers after what the Bengals did to the city. What they have done there is phenomenal. (puts Paul Brown stadium to shame) It has the comforts of a Major league baseball with the major league feel as well as the coziness of a minor league park. The tall stacks add a unique touch to this ball park. I have yet to find a bad seat. Also contrary to what others have stated here there is plenty of parking around GABP. The parking is between the two stadiums, next to USbank arena and all along 3rd street (across fort washington way)If you want to park for extremely cheap ($1) you can park up at fountain square and walk down. or you can even park across the river at newport on the levee and take the river shuttle over.

Pros: Anything is better than the old spaceship Riverfront. Cons: Horrible design.
Attended my first game at Great American Ballpark. What? Did they build that place in two weeks? What a piece of garbage! Every detail is cheap! From the weak scoreboard in left field, to the stupid smoke stacks in center...and lets not forget to mention the ugliest TV camera box/sight line in center field. By far the ugliest "new" baseball stadium in the major league.
