A gift to the true audio lover from the heavens!!!!!
by bnair66 ,Jan 13 '04
Pros: Audio Quality
Cons: None.
Go for it by all means. This is the receiver you have been looking for. Purest lows, mid range and highs, especially in combination with my JBL N38 II main speakers. Sounds soft and great. Never a pain to the ear. I strongly recommend this to anyone.

Great Buy at this Price
by roark2 ,Mar 09 '04
Pros: Price, Sound, Build Quality, COMPONENT switching
Cons: Size (bulk of high quality components).
With the new models out, the AV325 is a steal in the ~$400 range. I have the 325 matched with AR HC6 speakers in the 5.1 configuration in a small room. The sound is truly phenomenal and a huge improvement over the Yamaha receiver I upgraded from. Stereo music quality is retained and the H/K processing for movies is head and shoulders above anything I have heard in this level of receiver.

Only drawbacks I have found are; Size (bulk of high quality components), having to switch back to AVR on remote for volume after choosing video output. Distance between video and audio inputs for gathered cable applications.

The new avr325 is an...

The new avr325 is an excellent performer. I was worried about the 50 watts per channel, but this is my first H/K. Let me tell you. This thing will rock. I sold my "new" Kenwood VR607 immediatley. I know it was one of Kenwood's lower end amps, but it was rated at 100 watts per channel. Don't get me wrong the Kenwood sounded pretty good but no comparison. H/K has really done there home work. I have also just recently learned that the human hear can only detect sounds in intervals of about 3 decibels and for every doubling of power (100 watts/50watts) will only increase 3 decibels. So keep this in mind when choosing an amp. For just 50 watts of H/K power, this amp will push enough sound out to any size living room. And as for as how good the sound is, just go to your local stereo shop and listen to all the other amps first and play the H/K last. You will walk away with the H/K. Best reciever i have ever owned. (or heard)
