JW160

by eprjd , Jul 21 '02
Pros: Easy to set up, good sound, comfortable, low cost
Cons: None
The JW160 is easy to set up and sounds good too!
The base has the standard 1/8" plug, with adapters
included to allow connection to RCA or 1/4" output
jacks. To get them working, plug the transmitter
into the audio source, into the...

Do chores and listen to Seinfeld!

by fr4ed , Nov 17 '02
Pros: great comfort, excellent sound quality, long range
Cons: none
I bought my Jensen JW160 Headphones for $49.99 at Target primarily to use with my television. One reason was because my wife and I live in a small apartment, and when only one of us wants to watch TV, it's hard for the other one to concentrate on...

Good product for the average user!

by sugarandsalt , Apr 10 '06
Pros: Good value for the price, wasn't bad to tune, so far very little interference.
Cons: Tuning dial is a tad bit fussy, but taping it down solves this problem.
I just wanted to add my opinion about these headphones. I read all these reviews and some others before bidding on a set on Ebay. I was lucky to get them for 7.99 plus 20.00 shipping and handling on Ebay. I was a little worried about the interference ...

Jensen JW160

by wilkit88 , Nov 22 '03
Pros: Sound quality comparable to regular wired headphones. Good reception for a wireless unit.
Cons: Placement of volume and frequency unit wheels.
I bought this pair of wireless headphones for fun, just to give the wireless concept another try. Impulse/lifestyle buying, if you will, lured by the availability of a rebate discount. My previous experiences with wireless headphones were ...

Does what it says it would, nothing more, nothing less

by henchman5 , May 07 '03
Pros: good sound quality, stylish design, audio level indicator
Cons: occasional hiss, not made for wide heads
I read a lot of negative reviews on these headphones before I actually bought them. I wanted a way to watch TV and play video games late at night without disturbing my girlfriend or my neighbors, and I found these on clearance at Target for $25. I...

Great sounding headphones for a reasonable price

by ritejus28 , Feb 21 '03
Pros: Great value for the price, quality sound.
Cons: Volume and tuning controls are placed too close.
I bought these headphones in an auction on e-bay after reading reviews here. I use them for listening to mp3's on my computer because I don't want to disturb my roommates while I'm jamming to my eclectic choices of music at 3AM. Installation is very...

Worthy of more good reviews. A pro DJ knows!

by thehandyman , Feb 13 '03
Pros: Price, value for the money, easy operation, good styling and weight
Cons: Analog tuning, AAA batteries instead of AA Placement of the tuning knob
I am a professional DJ and radio personality so headphones are an everyday part of my life. When I'm on the air I need to hear everything well to be sure I'm making it over the music or using the proper voice inflection. I go through corded headphones ...

Good set of headphones, but not without its flaws

by Godai-kun Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Dec 31 '03
Pros: Powerful, good sound quality, relatively lightweight
Cons: Hard to keep in tune, can be difficult to see when it is turned on.
UPDATE: Since I first reviewed this product, about 10 months ago, its weaknesses have become much more apparent. Not only has the analog tuning problem mentioned in my original review gotten steadily worse, to the point where you can be sitting in a ...

If I wanted to listen to AM Radio...

by cmcary , Jun 10 '02
Pros: These headphones are very lightweight & comfortable
Cons: The sound quality is horrible.
I recently purchased a pair of Jensen JW-160R headphones from Circuit City because I like to work with headphones on and I was tired of turning around quickly and having my traditional headphones get yanked off when they were caught on something. I saw...

Looks Good But Has Fatal Flaw

by alleng , Jun 25 '02
Pros: Low cost, comes with audio input adapters
Cons: Very difficult to use due to analog tuning
I purchased the JW-160 for an elderly person who is hard of hearing and needed a wireless headset to be able to listen to her TV without disturbing the neighbors. I had not researched these devices and found this one on display at Circuit City, and on...

It works for people who got used to gadgets
by cdr1000 ,Aug 20 '04
Pros: It does what its made for
Cons: Small tunning wheels Battery is not rechargable
This is my second wireless headphone from Jensen.

The first is a different model and is connected to my PC.

JW160 works well for its low price.

The signal is clear and the sound quality is good.

They should improve:

-make bigger tunning wheels
-add rechargable battery and a charger for it

Good for the best part
by earpiece ,Feb 21 '04
Pros: Sound, volume, weight, mobility and range. The features most would want at an affordable price.
Cons: Analog tuning , volume/tuning knob locations. Cord from receiver to output unit should be thicker.
I had these for some time now. These phones are GREAT for all of you secret "air guitarists" and dancers. Fairly snug and comfortable fit with a minimum weight distraction. SUPERIOR sound and volume for the price. Semi-open ear design eliminates the closed-in feel of larger "full can" (totally around the ears) headphones. Good alkaline battery longevity. Headphone construction is very durable (eg: dropping on the floor..etc). Excellent sound reproduction and seperation. Plus what I love is the volume, although totally adjustable it can be awesomely loud when you want it to be.

I HATE these things!
by side241 ,Aug 21 '05
Pros: Cheap, comfortable
Cons: Too Numerous to mention! They are GARBAGE
Noisy, lots of hiss, if you move your head even slightly the signal fades or changes. PLUS, they do not recharge when hung up on transmitter. Garbage!
