Pros: Very effective carpet cleaning, and bagless dirt collection Cons: Attachement wands poorly made, and hose difficult to extend.
Early last year we moved into a new house, from an old one that had an in-house vacuum system. I was a bit overwhelmed with having to purchase a new vacuum, having used the Beam system for over 22 years, with no break downs, no bags to buy, and plenty of ...
Pros: Cleans good, long attachment wand, quiet, bagless, beater bar turns off, easy dirt canister. Cons: Trips circuit breaker, awkward attachment hose, leaves scuff marks on ceramic tile.
We chose this vacuum after a lot of research and especially after reading that Consumer reports gave it a good rating. We have had it for 2 months now and paid $250. We always owned Hoover but got concerned after reading so many mixed reviews. Our ...
Pros: Bag-less vac, intelli-clean system, true HEPA, super long cord Cons: expensive filter, clogs easily with pet hair/dander
This is going to be a rather long, detailed review. I have owned this vacuum for about two and a half years now; I would like to share the good and the bad we have experienced with it. I will summarize why I purchased the vacuum, detail the features of ...
Pros: lighter than expected, intelliclean is AWESOME Cons: Wish it had more tools, cleaning the filter can be messy, some malfunctions
**SEE MY FEBRUARY AND APRIL 2008 UPDATES AT END OF REVIEW** Our Hoover was dying. It needed replacing, quick. I had told my mother I wanted a Dyson, so she and my father went into research mode. A few months later, enter a gift from my mother for ...
Pros: IntelliSense Dirt Sensor, great suction, IntelliSense Dirt Sensor, HAPPA filter, IntelliSense Dirt Sensor! Cons: No "Low Profile" to get under short tables, beds. Heavy, Accessory hose "wedges" onto connector.
We've owned this for 6 months now. Previously, we've owned Kirby, Electrolux and we still have our Rainbow. I used to be a "Vacuum Salesman" and I know all the tricks they pull. A little about us. We live in Las Vegas where the air is a bit dusty. ...
Pros: Super strong vacuum, high quality dirt sensor, 17 foot attachment hose, relatively quiet. Cons: Beater brush in hand tool stops when you use force on it when vacuuming carpet.
We received a new Sears Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive vacuum (Model #:116.36933) for Christmas from my in-laws. We own a self propelled Hoover Premium Windtunnel with dirt sensor that I paid $300 for about 5 years ago, so I did not think we ...
Pros: No more bags. Has attachments similar to a canister. Does all types of surfaces. Cons: Funky purple color [grape]. I miss the self retracting cord of my old canister.
Moved into a bigger place and my 20 year old Eureka was down on power as the beater bar was slow. It was time for something new. Have had canisters before as the attachments do come in handy for all sorts of cleaning. However a good upright will do the ...
Pros: Cleans great on all surfaces. Easy to empty and replace canister. Cons: Look for problems early. Have serviced at first indicators. Have to replace filters too often.
Thought I had purchased the BEST RATED vacuum on the market. BOY! Was I wrong. All the positive comments made me re-evaluate Sears Kenmore products after 30 years of avoiding them. The first day we used this vacuum, we were amazed at the strength of ...
*Noisy
*Heavy
*Attachments don't stay attached
*Messy canister emptying operation.
*Canister filter needs replacing very often. Difficult to clean between filter and canister wall.
*Builds up static electricity charge on outside so that every crappy plastic surface attracts dust you are trying to suck up.
*Agitator brush VERY difficult to remove and clean.
*Agitator brush often does not work.
umm..let's see...what else do I hate about this Kenmore vacuum?
*Plastic shell very easily scratched up.
*Handymate thing worthless. When you push it against upholstery fabric it stalls.
Pros: strong suction, low noise, easy to clean bagless system, longer cord, longer hose Cons: heavier, wheel marks, vacuum hose hard stretch, dusting brush falls off, long cord nuisance
We have had ours for about a week and am very pleased. Pulls out a lot of carpet lint but that was not a surprise. It has lifted the carpet pile which is very visible. It is much quieter than our old Eureka and much more suction. It can leave black marks on the vinyl floor but easy to wipe up. Easy to dump and clean the bagless canister and we will never go back to bag type. Like the beltless agitator brush and lighted clean indicator system. Not too heavy but at 22 pounds best get hold of the handle to take upstairs. Accessories are functional and the long electrical cord helps. The main hose is long but since inner coiled a chore to keep extended during use. We highly recommend this vacuum cleaner !
