Pros: Ease of use, low pricing, reliable, customer support Cons: Most common damage occurs from dropping, destroies battery compartment door.
ITS BOUND TO HAPPEN Well. My niece dropped her Kodak CD33 digital camera on concrete. Believe or not the camera is fully functional, the lcd display and lens still in tact, no cracks of any kind. But now the camera is basically useless. ...
Pros: Excellent camera for tight budget or a beginner. Cons: No zoom on movies.
Most folks these days have or will acquire a digital camera and the Easy Share C743 by Kodak makes a great starter camera. I chose this camera primarily due to my budget. I attend a lot of Nascar events where a great deal of Budweiser is consumed and as ...
Pros: Affordable, easy to use, nice picture quality, simple photo transfer to PC. Cons: Easily damaged, expensive to repair, long shutter lag.
I've had this camera for five months. I purchased it in preparation for an overseas trip. I actually was shopping for the next model down the list, (airfare is expensive, I was on a budget) but the chain store I was in was out of the that one (I don't ...
Pros: Many different settings for taking pictures in all types of situations. Great video feature. Cons: Using this product I found no problems to detect, the only drawback is battery usage.
The Kodak easyshare c743 digital camera is an excellent product. It's great to have a video/digital camera at your disposal. Obtaining this product you will love the different features, which are easy to understand and use. I regularly use the video ...
Pros: Picture Quality, Size, Features, Balance in your hand. Cons: Vague explanation of features, camera locks up.
I bought the Kodak C743 bundled with the Kodak Easy Share G600 as a gift for my wife. I made the purchase on-line at Kodak.com. First thing I noticed as I started assembling printers and camera, was the lack of information in the user manuals. The ...
Pros: Easy to use, nice quality pictures/video mode standard memory and batteries Cons: the usb port is under the battery door flap, which is a little awkward
I got mine at ecost.com for $89- it was a refurbished model. I thought it was super for the price. It has a big 2.4in LCD screen, modes for closeups and landscape shots, modes for indoor/outdoor/fluorescent lights, a flash, 7.1 Megapixels, 3x OPTICAL ...
Pros: Good Picture Quality Cons: Poor durability
Poor customer service
Poor software Poor video quality
Locks up
What an experience! This camera takes good pictures but it does like to lock up and appear to have a dead battery only to start again after several attempts of turning it on and off. The fun really started when the battery compartment door started to ...
Pros: Clear pictures, simple to operate, lightweight, multiple function, SD/MMC card supported Cons: Small memory, no case, batteries can be incorrectly inserted
Received the Kodak EasyShare C743 camera bundled with the G600 printer for Christmas. The product is excellent for family use [not for professionals]. The pictures and resulting prints are superlatively clear and the camera itself is very easy to use and ...
Pros: ease of use, small size, nice screen, good quality of pictures Cons: easy to break, memory card required
This is my second kodak EasyShare, my first was a 3 megapixel when they first arrived on the scene and I managed to drop it on the floor and break the battery door hatch the very first week. I love it and I hate it, they do break very easily, I am sure ...
Kodak EasyShare C743 Digital Camera by llsgia0691 ,Feb 05 '07
Pros: compact size, fast image storage after click, powered by alkaline batteries, value priced
Cons: no image stabilization, just fair when it comes to zoom quality
I received this as a Christmas gift from my boyfriend. I have always been a film SLR camera kind of photographer but since this is the new way of the world it was time to get into digital cameras. I have been a Canon camera lover but since this was a gift it has been great to learn with. I like that you can't take a bad shot with this camera, but if you do it is so easy to delete it and try again. This camera is very easy to use and it is an excellent camera for a novice as well as a more advanced photographer. It has an easy to use menu setup. Each type of photo setting is explained on the view screen. It also has a large view screen that is viewable both indoors and outdoors.
Maybe you should use a tripod whenever possible, as has no stabilization software. It does show with an icon whether picture is blurred. Overall I think this is a great camera for the value price.
Pros: Very light weight and compact; takes good photos of still objects. Cons: Delay in the shutter is unacceptable when trying to photograph people, especially children.
I just got this camera to replace my Kodak EasyShare DX7630 because the toggle knob broke. I thought this camera (the C743) would be the answer since it doesn't have one. But, I have found that the delay in the time I press the shutter button and the time it actually snaps the photo is unacceptable for me. I have 4 young children and when I see the right shot, I need the photo NOW, not in a second.
The delay was worst in the AUTO mode and was a little better in the custom modes like "Children" and "Sport" but I often just turn on the camera and go, not try to find the mode I need. Also, I am not keen on the positioning of the zoom buttons. I got used to the positioning on the old style camera and now they are on the back on the camera, not the top.
Camera Won't Turn On/Freezes Up by gottasmile ,Feb 11 '07
Pros: none, if camera has flaws Cons: issue with freezing, will return camera immediately
I just got this camera - excited about 7.1 megapixels and super sized screen. Used 1G card. Installed the included Kodak factory batteries. Worked great first time. Upon second use a few days later, wouldn't turn on! On a whim, I changed batteries and camera worked fine. A few days later, tried to use it and again, camera won't turn on! No way -- first set of batteries that were included may have been old (unlikely as they were wrapped tightly in packaging) but the second set of batteries were fresh. A few hours later, I switched the camera on and the 2nd set of batteries are working now. BOTTOM LINE: I'm not taking any chances... returning this camera, too bad, am very disappointed.
Camera froze up--returning it immediately by klouri ,Dec 24 '06
Pros: Bundled w/printer dock, large LCD screen Cons: Completely stopped working within the first few days of use.
I thought this would be a suitable camera bundle (sold w/printer dock for 159.99@ Office Max) for a single mom of two active boys. WRONG. I haven't had this camera 4 days and it is freezing up... simply refuses to turn on. I have tried several other batteries to no avail. I will return this camera and think about spending a little more money for better quality. At least I am well within the return time for the store. After reading some of the service reviews on Kodak (on another opinion site) I am sure I wouldn't want to send it in for repair.
Pros: It's built strong. I have dropped it several times and nothing changes. Cons: Zoom gets blurry if you go past the yellow bar.
There really is no reason to buy a brand new camera for a teen when they are just learning or its just for friends. This camera has been a wonderful camera and quality has been quite good. I took it on a two week senior trip across the country and it was perfect to have. The zoom is ok but after you get past the yellow marker if you don't hold still its blurry, but other than that it was great for pictures while sight seeing!
Pros: simple, good pictures Cons: sometimes freezes up for a minute, corrupts pictures
Just got this for my Mom. The camera froze up several times on the first night of use. Tried different batteries. Lost some pictures in the process. Was using a 1 gigabyte memory card. I'll return it tomorrow.
