Pros: picture and movie quality, ease of use, versatility picture options Cons: high color seems too bright, flash very bright up close, poor quality batteries included
When my daughter wanted a digital camera for her 16th birthday, the first name I thought of was Kodak. I had started out using a Kodak digital camera when I first ventured into the digital camera realm, and had found it easy to use for taking pictures ...
Pros: Picture/video quality, 5x zoom, Manual Controls, Auto Red-eye removal, Kodak Perfect Touch, MPEG-4 video Cons: Size, very bright flash
Overall: This is the best point and shoot camera I have seen for active families. It has fully auto mode for instant snapshots, manual mode for advanced users and tough situations, and is responsive with burst mode for sports and action shots. All ...
Pros: Easy to use. Takes good pictures. 3:2 ratio format. Date Imprint. Cons: AA batteries shipped with camera are worthless. Flash TOO STRONG. Some overexposure on close portraits.
Ease of use cannot be beat with this point-n-shoot Kodak gem of a camera. I purchased this camera (from NewEgg) for my mother-in-law with the instructions, "I want a camera that takes good pictures and is easy to use". The Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital ...
Pros: Customer Service Reps were courteous and responded to my emails quickly. Cons: Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital Camera worked less than one month.
I purchased this camera for personal recreational use approximately $300 May 31, 2007. I used it less than a month before it quit working. I took it back to Office Max, where I purchased it, and was told the LCD screen was "shot" and I would need to ...
Pros: 1) Okay point and shoot. 2) Good video. 3) Nice range of pre-set options. Cons: No macro; Kills batteries; Awkward on/off & joystick; No anti-shake; flash dies.
The camera takes decent shots for the most part. For certain shots it's best to use a tripod since there is no auto compensation so there can be a slight bit of blur in pictures - not necessarily noticeable in small photos but noticeable in larger ...
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, easy to read, fun Cons: No rechargable batteries.
I purchased this camera for $65 at Target and at first I was confused as to how to put the batteries in, but once I figured that out, it was all systems GO!When you first take iti out of the box, it comes with batteries (not rechargable, which ...
Pros: Camera takes great pictures and is easy to use. Cons: Able to snap one picture before camera shut itself off, ditto with new batteries.
While on vacation to the Grand Canyon and after owning the camera for only three months, we had a problem with the camera shutting off because it registered that the batteries were low, according to the camera; however, according to us, we just put new ...
The Kodak Easy Share C875 is an easy to use point and shoot camera. For the price it is a good camera. I think the camera is a good one for someone who just wants to take a few pictures at vacation, holidays, and occasional family pictures. It is easy to ...
Pros: optional rechargeable batteries/AA batteries, LCD screen size, 5x optical zoom, size Cons: poor photo quality and focus, large photo files, feel of the camera
I bought this camera in December because of its good reviews, price and "easy to use" billing. I have now had it for 6/7 months and I would not buy it again. The main reason is I don't like the pictures it takes. In dark/poor lighting, such as a ...
Pros: Good the short time it worked. Cons: Didn't work long enough to evaluate it.
I returned my new Kodak C875 today after one month of minimal use. The camera shuts down with lens extended at various times, usually right after turning it on. Batteries checked out O.K. by me and at the store. Even tried different batteries. I may get another one hoping it was just a one time glitch in the camera I bought.
Pros: Easy to use. Cons: I would not have purchased this camera had I known about .MOV.
QuickTime is the viewing and editing software. Transferring, or editing a video in .mov file can be very time consuming and very difficult. My experience with QuickTime is you must upgrade in order save .mov video in a different format to use in other editing programs. Long process...
Pros: Easy to use interface for elderly or younger children. Cons: Very poor battery life, and reliablity
This camera is not designed very well because the batteries that it comes with don't last. If you buy other batteries they will last longer but still get drained quickly. The camera also is not reliable because sometimes it won't even start up, which means you lose the photo oppurtunity. Needless to say it was an obvious return. I would not recommend it.
Pros: Easy to use, plenty of features, quality pictures, great value & more. Cons: No image stabilization, no view finder, unexplained shutdowns, battery usage.
As a novice Photographer, it took just 10 minutes to have good understanding of how to operate the camera.
I looked at a lot of cameras and read many reviews over the past few months; And, kept coming back to the C875. It's feature packed, easy to use,and the video is pretty good.
Because I'd read reviews regarding the battery needs of the C875, I purchased 2700 mAh Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries when I bought the camera - so, I haven't been bothered by battery usage. What does bug me however, is the fact the camera tends to shut down every once and a while....still, " I LIKE IT ".
This camera is great value and has everything a creative beginner might want.... It will do me for a while.
Pros: Good pictures while it lasts. Cons: Doesn't stay on long enough to take pictures.
As like other reviewers this camera was good for a couple of days, but then began shutting itself off. Took camera back to shop exchanged it for a new C875. But same has happened with this second camera. It begins turning itself off after a couple of pictures and then starts shutting off as soon as you turn it on. Will be trying to exchange it for a completely different model.
Kodak EasyShare C875 -problems- by dramis ,Apr 16 '07
Pros: Purchase cost, technical characteristics, screen, easy to use. Cons: Picture quality questionable, compare to other models in different modes before buying.
I bought my camera in January 2007. 8MP and 5X optical zoom for the price was very appealing. Right from the beginning, when we zoomed, the picture quality dropped a lot (we get a red hand on 4 of 5 shoot - green/yellow/red hand tells if the quality is enough to print a 4" X 6" picture). My old camera Kodak CX7430 took better pictures than the C875 at equivalent distance and light.
In the beginning of April, 3 months old, the flash of the camera stopped working. I'm sending it back to Kodak this week. Hope the next repaired one will be better, I will correct this review after testing my repaired C875.
Regarding battery life, I use the KAA2HR battery pack which I charge with a printer/docking station. And it is efficient enough to take pictures during a complete walk at the zoo and even more.
