Unless you really need something to do, save your money for another cave by lbowes ,Aug 29 '05
Pros: Some nice formations; organ interesting Cons: Too expensive; don't learn much about the cave
My bf and I stopped here while camping at Shenandoah because we generally enjoy cave tours. We were a little taken aback by the price of admission ($19). The cave is neat to see, but they don't let you go anywhere that requires a squeeze or a ladder. Maybe they have to remain fully handicapped accessible or its a liability-issue, but in my experience, that's where cooler stuff is. Furthermore, we really learned very little about the history or geology of the cave. There were a few teenage guides stationed throughout, trying to yell a scripted sentence or two above the din of the crowd but it was hard to get much info, which would have been nice (especially for $19).
