Pros: washable, soft, comfortable Cons: you have to wash them!
These washable pads come in white, white/lace and beige/lace and come in boxes of 6 (3 sets). They fit nicely inside your bra and will conform to the contour of your breast. The first time they are a little "boxy," so I'd recommend you run them...
Pros: Washable, long wearing, contoured, waterproof Cons: Not as absorbent as I'd like
These breast pads are a good choice, in my opinion; they are contoured, so as not to be too obvious under clothing,(and also the contoured shape helps reduce leakage around the pad), they're comfortable, waterproof, washable, and long lasting (I'm...
Pros: very absorbent, discreet Cons: can't think of any
When I first started nursing I thought all nursing pads were the same. I was also afraid of washable pads for some reason. I think I was afraid they couldn't be as absorbent as the disposable ones. I was wrong! These pads are great!
Pros: more absorbant than the disposable Cons: falls apart fast
During the trials and tribulations of learning how to nurse my first son, I quickly learned of the necessity of nursing pads. I tried the disposable kind, and quickly came to prefer the washable.
Pros: reusable Cons: won't last long and will get wet fast
I was in dire need of absorbing pads because i had gallons of milk on me, I always used disposables. I was running our of them really fast and decided to try the washables thinking I would save money. They did not last more that half an hour, they are...
don't absorb very quickly by crabapplegirl ,Sep 04 '04
Pros: thinner than others, contoured, don't show quite as much under clothing Cons: do not absorb quickly enough, still leak through to clothing, move around
I bought these after a few weeks of nursing because I was looking for a washable pad that was thinner than the ones I was using in hopes that they wouldn't show as much. They are also contoured to help fit the breast better. I found that they didn't absorb quickly enough, the milk would run down the inside of them and soak my shirt towards the bottom of them. When they do absorb the milk they become saturated pretty quickly and leak through to clothing. I don't leak all that much either. Also they do not stay in place very well. They don't seem to show quite as much under clothing if they are positioned exactly right, but it is hard to get them to stay there. I wouldn't recommend them.
