My husband and I picked out this camera to use with our new HelloWorld account. We wanted something with a built-in microphone and we needed something that would attach to the top of a laptop screen. Installation was easy, just put in the CD and in a few minutes it asks you to plug in the camera. It works very well in low light and the microphone really impressed me, the sound quality has been excellent. Other features that sold us were the 3x digital zoom and 5.0 megapixel resolution for photos, but we haven't tried that out yet.

Pros: Have very good sound. Adapt good with the monitor laptop
Cons: The videos with poor light is VERY BAD, a lot noise and very poor quality.

This camera have very nice, good design and adapt perfect with the monitor of the laptop and desktop. If you find GOOD QUALITY not recomend this product.

Haven't yet installed this web camera, but Microsoft doesn't honor rebates. there was a little scratch in barcode (still readable). I recommend that you boycott manufacturer's that play games with rebates. It's just another way to bait and switch.

I downloaded the latest Vista compatible version of the LifeCam software V1.4, installed it per instructions.
When I was finished, the software was unable to start the camera. I receive "Initialization error". I have uninstalled and reinstalled this many times.

I normally am pro Microsoft. But this is the worst product I have bought ever.

The reviews that speak of 'initialisation error' totally reflect my experience. Thinking that it was operator error on my part I commissioned my 'techy' son to instal the product. After seven attempts we gave up and returned the camera. I strongly suggest that you avoid buying this. It is a shame as the camera looked good and the price was right.
