Until I bought this I refused to remove my car seats because of the difficulty in getting them installed securely enough to be safe. Now I consider it to be as essential as the locking clip. With minimal effort the car seats can be installed with this far more tightly than they can be without it.

Pros: Easy, cheap, quick, able to do it myself, (no need for a brawny muscle man!)
Cons: Initially the directions can be confusing (you may over complicate it), but it's really simple!

After realizing the need to have more than one car with a car seat this past summer while my husband had the car with the car seat in it doing paint jobs an hour away, I drove up to Babies R Us and purchased Mighty Tight. I must say, it does exactly what its name claims, it buckles that car seat in Mighty Tight and in addition to that I can do it with one hand and I have NO muscles, (5'2 and 128lbs). The car seat would not budge after using this gadget to tighten the belts in. We have a convertible car seat and it worked fine both forward and rear facing.

It also has a release button which makes it fast and easy to take on and off when you need to transfer the car seat to another vehicle.

It cost about $15.00 at Babies R Us and has proved extremely helpful and given me peace of mind knowing that the car seat is in firmly and securely.

My middle seatbelt does not like to stay tight at all. After I noticed the base had moved quite a bit during a ride with my son in the seat, I decided to get this. I installed it right when I left the store. It is kind of hard to install on carrier bases because you have to do it on the side of the base, otherwise the seat won't click in. Once I got it on there I couldn't believe how much sturdier the base was!

I can't believe I was driving my son around before with his carseat being that loose! I will use this thing until he outgrows it (up to 60 lbs).

One of my best purchases ever!
