Pros: Ramming dirt bikes while racing as a big rig Cons: Being the dirt bike guy against big rigs
Evolution Studios is not a well-known developer on our side of the Atlantic, thus it’s possible to assume that Motorstorm, its initial PlayStation 3 effort, would be sub-par based upon its apparently non-existent pedigree. Those in the know, however, ...
Pros: Great soundtrack, visuals, dynamic and action-packed racing, online play. Cons: Limited track selection, one contest type.
Going the Distance It was an overcast, rainy day. I sped along the muddy pass in my four-wheel drive; the canyon walls whisked by me. Turn after turn, faster I went. Sliding through the curves, hoping my tires would keep some grip. Left, ...
Pros: great graphics
very entertaining
many vehicles to choose from Cons: slow loading
online is difficult
When i bought my playstation 3 this game came with it. Origianally by looking at the cover i said to myself "oh how good can this game be". I was very wrong. I played this game and was very entertained. This is not like usual games you can drive many ...
Pros: Great graphics, loads of action-packed racing, variety of vehicles Cons: Singular gameplay, only eight tracks to race on
I first saw this game at a local Sony Style store where a customer was playing it on the store's demo PS3. I was really impressed. A couple weeks later I found the teaser version on the PS Network and downloaded it. It was really a lot of fun. So I ...
Pros: The graphics and how things move is very good. Cons: When you play a lighter vehicle and they keep blowing up is frustrating.
Being that I am fairly good at playing such games motor storm was quite fun to attempt to play. I loved how as your vehicle is racing threw the muddy course your windshield becomes coated in mud making driving in a four wheeler or a motorcycle or a car (but I normally play the four wheeler so I would exactly know) tougher to drive. I would have to say that this game is terribly fun to play and it is highly recommended.
Pros: Great Stress reliever, way fun to run stuff over. Cons: no force feedback
I must start by saying I am terrible at racing games. I can never keep the car on the track. However in this game THERE IS NO TRACK! woo hoo! OK :-) so I personally like driving as a "trophy truck" as they call them in the Baja race. I love running over motorcyclists and other cars. This is a great "I had a rough day at work" relaxation game if you ask me, and so much more legal than running over your boss in the parking lot on your way home :-) Not being a "racing game aficionado" I can't really tell you how realistic the game play is. I would say it's less realistic than F1 but MUCH more realistic than Ridge Racer. I kind of liked the "motion sensing" controller option for this game it allowed me to use the controller like a steering wheel, but I went back to button mashing pretty quick. I also noticed that damaged scenery, tire tracks, etc. stay from lap to lap which is a nice bit of realism. When you wreck as a motorcycle driver the body flying has some nice rag doll type dynamics to it too.
