Pros: Decent value for the price, good handset design, pager, mute button, caller id Cons: Range is a little limited
We needed a new phone for our kitchen. We didn't need one of those fancy, expandable models since there was a phone jack already installed. I found this model at Officemax for $25 with free shipping. WHAT YOU GET This set includes the handset and ...
Pros: comfortable, easy to use, format button Cons: limited memory
One of the oldest phones in our home just got replaced this last week. The Motorola MA351 2.5 GHz Cordless Phone was a staple in our kitchen for many years. This cordless phone was a stand alone unit. It didn't have an answering machine and ...
Pros: Small size, solid construction, attractive, brand name, good sound quality Cons: Wall mount looks akward, headset jack is inconvemient, NiCad batteries
First impressions, great feel in the hand. Very solid, though slightly heavier than I would have liked. Appears to be able to take a beating. The handset looks great, as does the base unit. The only aesthetically unpleasant part is the wall mount....
Pros: Good quality, pleasing to the eye, good range, backlit, page capabilities Cons: Poor wall mount, some buttons very small
I have been through my share of cordless phones and am pleased with this Motorola product. There are some things I would change but overall it seems to have been a good purchase.
QUALITY
One factor in buying the phone was that it seemed...
Pros: Nice look and feel Cons: Battery life is terrible
Phone reliability is suspect
Range was no better than 900 mhz
When we went from a 900mhz VTech to this phone my wife and I figured that Motorola must make a solid phone since they made pretty good cell phones. Was I ever wrong. In less than a year since we bought this thing we have replaced the NiCad battery twice ...
Pros: Perfect size, Very Sturdy, Inexpensive, Useful Features, Love the visual call ID. Cons: My only complaint is that the ringer could be louder.
When I am talking on the phone, I am very often doing other things mainly cooking at the same time. Our old Panasonic that we had for the past 6 years gave out (helped by the dog chewing on the antenna). Therefore, attaining a durable phone in case of...
Pros: Great sound quality and nice heavy feel. Cons: Wall mount kit took some doing to get.
We bought two of these phones to replace a GE multi-handset system that we had for only 30 days. The Motorola phones were a great improvement over the GE model. The sound is very good and the 'bells and whistles' such as back lit keypad and display ...
Pros: Clear and loud reception and wide range over all brands Cons: This is my 3rd return in a row!!!
Return 1: I bought this phone twice from Fry's and it is a piece of crap. The first phone I bought cut in and out on the receiver. On my first and only call, I tried to order pizza. I couldn't hear the cashier as the volume faded back and forth from ...
Pros: Rubberized grips, sound quality Cons: Too many buttons? Too much info on the display?
My last cordless wasn't that bad but then it broke and we were forced into the market for a replacement. Wow, what an improvement! Easy to hold (the side grips set this model apart from other phone, worth it!), confidence inspiring, very good battery...
Pros: Attractive design, rubber "grips" fit in the hand well, sturdy housing on the handset. Cons: Sound quality has more static than my 900 mHz.
Maybe this phone would work better for someone else who lives in an apartment or something similar. This phone didn't have a very good signal in my home as I received static everywhere I turned. I expected a lot more from this phone from the previous...
Pros: Great Design, Clear Display, Nice Housing Unit, Inexpensive, Clear Sound Cons: Gives me a HUGE HEADACHE, Call Waiting beep is long and cuts out the conversation
This phone looks great, sounds great and the price is great - I bought it at Circuit City in Manhattan for $50. But I have to say that I just got this phone 3 days ago and I have been getting the biggest headaches when I use it. It says in the...
Pros: Convenient size, sturdy construction, backlit buttons, low price Cons: Display hard to read, ringer volume too low, marginal sound quality, poor range.
This phone was purchased because the combination of low price (approx. $50), brand recognition (Motorola), and 2.4 GHz (longer range) was too hard to resist. Our previous phone (a 900 MHz Panasonic model) was great, but lost volume to the point that I...
Pros: It a good phone considering the price and support is good too. Cons: The phone should last a little longer than a year.
The phone is a pretty good one for the price you pay. I just needed a backup phone so my "good cordless phone" will always be charged when I need it. One year and 2 months after purchase, it crashed. People could hear me but I couldn't hear them. A short while later it completely crashed where I didn't even hear a dial tone. I called Motorola and support was very good. They offered me a few ideas as to what the problem might be but came to the conclusion that there was a chip that had burnt out. Why do so many electronics usually have such a short life span with all the technology we have. I suppose the battery life could have been better too.
Just bought this phone! by thepowersmile ,Apr 19 '05
Pros: Sleek design, cheap price Cons: Wall mount difficult, range of phone
I just purchased this phone last week to replace my Sony 900mhz phone that I have had for 7 years because the buttons were worn out.
Unfortunately just as I suspected I couldn't find a phone as good to replace it. The range is worse than my 900 MZH phone. I tried to mount it to my wall but gave up because it is hard to get on and leaves the phone at an awkward angle.
The design of the phone is very sleek but the buttons took a little time to get used to. They are smaller that any other phone I have ever had although they are very responsive when pushed.
So far I have had no trouble with battery life and I use my phone quite a bit. I also though always put it back on the charger when finished.
Overall it is not a bad phone for the $30 dollars I paid but next time I will spend a bit more for better quality!
Pros: nice design, different ring tones, memory, hold, flash, mute, caller id Cons: lack of volume and poor range
All of the features on this phone are nice, but it doesn't help if you can't hear anything. Even adjusting the volume all the way up, I still can't hear anything. I'm in the market for a new phone based just on this fact.
I bought the Motorola phone after going through a few crappy V-Tech phones. Its stylish and doesn't take up a lot of room. I have had NO problems with my battery life or range capabilitly. I must say that although it seems like such a small feature- my absolute favorite thing about this phone is the ringer off button on the side! SOOOOO nice to have when it's my day off and work decides to call me early in the morning! Just roll over and turn the ringer off and go back to sleep (just remember to turn the ringer back on when you wake up).
The only down side I found with this phone was the uncomfortable ear piece. I like to be able to multi-task, so when I'm on the phone I usually try to get some laundry hung up but this phone makes it a hard task. It slips off the shoulder very easy, and just isn't comfortable in general for my ears. Besides that its a good phone.
Pros: It probably employed somebody for a couple of minutes putting it together. Cons: None.
I've had this phone for about 6 months and I'm already experiencing ridiculous battery issues that some of the previous reviewer have already listed: very short talk time, battery not able to hold a charge, if it's out of its cradle for any extended time (read: a few hours) then you can expect to talk for a couple of minutes before the thing starts to beep.
Besides that, the sound quality leaves something to be desired. That's not so much of an issue with me since I live alone and my place is pretty quiet, but - man - the batteries? run, don't walk, from this piece of junk.
Pros: great signal phone book Cons: earpeace is a little uncomfortable battery life not good
i have this great phone i use it fairly often and i have had not promlems with it yet but the battery life could be a little better great cheap phone but if you have a little xtra money id go for a little better model the earpiece doesnt really fit your ear very well
Pros: Looks nice. Cons: sound quality is horrible unless the room is silent.
I'd sell it to you but I already threw it in the trash. I bought this phone for it's nice looks, respectful brand name and the caller ID function. I like almost everything about this phone except for when I have to listen on it. It's fine if you are in a very quiet room but if there is any noise in the room while you listen on the phone (TV, radio, other people talking, etc.) it amplifies those other background sounds in the room you are in so loud that you can't hear who you are talking with. Very disappointed with this product.
Pros: Comfortable size Cons: Poor battery life. misdials numbers.
This phone started out very passable. The battery life is short, but I was able to function with it. The phone started developing quirks within a year. The phone would misdial frequently. If you pushed the 1, you would often get 5 dialed. The audio quality is adequate. Replacement batteries were difficult to fit in the slot because of the placement of the wires.
Pros: Cool rubber side grips (a trademark of Motorola phones), nice green backlight. Cons: Stubby, cheap antenna that broke when I dropped the phone once. Clarity not so great.
Overall, a great phone. I got about 2 1/2 years out of it, but then it suddenly just went kerplunk. The phone will not do anything now and gave me no warning before deciding to quit completely.
Is it wrong that I find this phone so sexy? by pk8pk ,Feb 11 '04
Pros: Very beautiful, hehe. Comfortable on hand + ear. Clear signal if at close range. Cons: Signal doesn't go very far. Only memorizes first 40 calls, then memory must be cleared!
This phone is very cool looking, and since it is one of the main pieces of furniture on my desk, appearance is important.
The signal is clear, but gets fuzzy when on other side of my 3 bedroom apt (not all that far, really).
My only major complaint is that once the Caller ID memory reaches #40, it stops recording the #s. You have to hold mute for a few seconds, then press it again to clear memory. I have to remember to do this every few days, otherwise I get home to find it at #40 and I can't tell who has called.
Although this is annoying, it's worth it for the design; all other phones are ugly in comparison.. I must be in love!
Pros: Nice looking phone. Brand Name. Cons: Horrible battery life. Uncomfortable and not ergonomically designed.
I figured that Motorola would make an incredible home telephone, since they are well reputed for their mobile devices...WRONG ASSUMPTION. The battery on this telephone dies after having a conversation of approximately 45 minutes. Also, if I do not replace the phone on the base, after only a few hours, the battery only has one bar of power left. I thought perhaps my unit had a faulty battery, but the salesperson assured me that these phones are garbage. I wish I could return it, but I didn't opt for the in-store extended purchase insurance.
