Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Lens

Pros: Small and light, fast lens, price, picture quality, sharpness, metal mount.
Cons: Made of plastic, subjective weak bokeh, CA at f/1.8 in extreme conditions.

The Nikon 35mm f/1.8 AF-S lens is really a nice, really fast prime lens for the DX-format cameras made by Nikon, and it's also my first DSLR lens. I purchased a Nikon D90 body only, and decided that I wanted a fairly normal angle lens for everyday ...

Pros: Very fast. Good at 1.8. Decent focus speed. Images look really nice.
Cons: Can't think of any.

Bought this lens to go with my D40. It's equivelant is 52mm when used with this body. All I can say is - WOW!!! What a lens for $200. Very sharp images even at 1.8. Focus is great. Bokeh is great. I've used it indoors with natural light and it still works great. If you like prime lenses - this is a winner for sure. Oh - and it has a metal mount to the body and a rubber gasket - and a hood. Good job Nikon.
