Pros: Small, Light, Battery Life, Back-lit, OK Display, 8MB Memory Cons: Memory Loss with Battery Change after a few years
OVERALL: A GREAT little PDA - I've had mine for at least 4 years now, and have NO reason to upgrade. The battery life isn't as good as the early Pilot 5000 which gave 3 months per set of AAA's, but the 6 weeks per set is far preferable to my wifes Palm ...

Pros: Simple, easy to learn and use for first time PDA owner Cons: Losses data easily if exposed to static electricity
I am a first time PDA owner. As such, I was impressed with the overall ease of use and convenience the m105 had to offer. The initial attraction was the price, a door crasher special of $70! Being price point sensitive, I considered the lack of features...
Pros: Low cost and
Palm operating system widely supported Cons: Unreliable

Pros: Excellent, simple, very easy to use! Cons: It doesn't do my laundry! :)

Pros: It's cheap, but that's about all it's got going for it. Cons: Small, low quality screen; fragile cover; poor digitizer, flaky beaming. Like I said, cheap.

It was my wifes birthday just the other day. She is a student at Oklahoma University and was saying that she needs to be more organized, so i thought i would get her a PDA for her birthday present.
Pros: Price, features, ease of use Cons: No colour display, 8 MB mem
I bought this Palm, for only a few uses. Keep track of appointments, and address book. Well it certainly was worth the price for these two items. I have since added documents to go, and now my Palm keeps track of my work in a spreadsheet I use on my PC....
Pros: small, easy to use, games Cons: lack of memory
this is a great little gadget that can pretty much plan your whole life. No need for those expensive PDAs with color and all those other features, while the m105 does all you need it to do.
Pros: Inexpensive, familiar interface, comes with cradle, lightweight and EASY to get up and running! Cons: Memory can not be upgraded.

Pros: quick, upgradeable and good little starter palm Cons: dosen't take expanison cards
I purchased the Palm m105 mainly for keeping track of school work. The feature I probably use the most is the note pad. It is a classic palm function that allows you to write directly on the screen for quick notes. It is also easy to keep you schedule...
Pros: Easy to use, nice interface, lots of programs Cons: Hard to see in direct sunlight

Pros: Small, low-cost, has protective cover, 8 MB Cons: Much smaller screen, BAD backlight, serial port instead of USB
After years of faithful service my old Palm III became just too flaky to use anymore -- the screen had come loose after many falls to the floor and sometimes would not recognize the stylus. I had returned it once to Palm during the good old 1 year...
Pros: good basic pda, reasonable cost, good basic software Cons: No ability to expand memory.
I finally gave up my pocket day-timer. I use my data watch for important phone numbers, but never have that one number I need. I also got tired of manually transferring my appointments from work to my home computer. I resisted the urge to save money ...
Pros: Affordable, easy to use, lightweight, comfortable, ease of back-up. Cons: Battery life, screen could be bigger, flaw in calendar function.
This is my first PDA. Since I like to consider myself up to date on all the gadgets, I felt left out on this one. I was looking for one that had the most functions for the best price. This one seemed to fit the bill nicely.
Pros: Longhand Input Cons: Limited functionality, Small b&w screen
Palm Handhelds are legendary for their operating system, but the operating system has begun to outlive its functionality. While palm handhelds can perform basic functions, such as memos, date book and addresses, they can't keep up when compared with...
Pros: Palm OS is great! 8 meg RAM! Reasonably small size! Cute! Cons: Visor deluxe has same 8 meg + OS, larger screen, no flimsy flip cover

Pros: Inexpensive, great for keeping addresses and dates handy Cons: No expansion, black & white screen

Pros: Nice size, long battery life, clock at the push of a button Cons: small screen, not in color
The palm m105 is a nice PDA in that it is small and easy to carry around. It has a nice feature for the clock were it can be viewed at the push of a button. The m105 is also nice because it has 8MB of RAM rather than the m100s 2MB of RAM. I would rather...
Pros: A wonderful entry-level PDA; compact, efficient and utilitarian Cons: small screen, not upgradable, data transfers not bombproof

Pros: Ease of use, expandability, price, extra memory Cons: Hard to jot notes in a hurry

Pros: functional device Cons: screen is hard to read
M105 is a new version in the Palm series. M105 has a few new improvements. For example, the RAM was increased from 2MB to 8MB. It is able to connect to a mobile phone. It also has a docking cradle. This model has a few new additions. However, it...
Pros: Small footprint, pleasant aesthetics, large memory, robust Cons: Non-existent upgrade path, cover can fall off, lacks raw speed (and multitasking)
The Palm m105 is quite a nice little machine, all things considered. It's small, versatile, quite sturdy, and seems to run my life considerably better than I can. It even functions as a watch, thanks to the porthole on the cover which allows easy access...
Pros: Compact (easy to carry), changeable faceplates, user friendly, plenty of memory. Cons: Plastic screen (vs. glass), should come with more handheld applications.

Pros: Springboard module slot, built in calculator Cons: no Flash ROM
The Palm m105 is a unique product that has sparked a new interest in the computer world. I would buy it. It has some great features and the product is worth learning more about. I like the detailed calculator which allows you to complete statistics,...
Pros: Sleek, Light, Powerful, Compact, syncs with your Outlook... dump your planner! Cons: Not in color

Pros: Technologically sound, smooth operation Cons: Screen is fairly small and modem is absent, price is steep
For the most part, this product is extremely overrated. As the advertisements indicated, I was expecting the Palm m105 to be an excellent addition to my everyday life. I have purchased the older models of the Palm Pilot in the past and I was pleased...
Pros: Small. Battery can be recharged. Pocket-size. Lightweight. Built in light. Cons: Somewhat fragile. Light wears battery down quickly,
I don't own a palm pilot myself, but my dad does. He keeps addresses and phone numbers on it, which comes in very handy when we're out and need to get in touch with someone or if he needs to call his wife/my mom. He also keeps in there all of my mom's...
Pros: Ease of use; portability. Cons: Short battery life; flimsy cover.
I'm not really a technology junkie, but I do like gadgets. Also, I am bad about writing notes on scraps of paper and losing them. So when a co-worker showed me her new Palm M105, I was hooked.
From the time I got it out of the box, I found it...
Pros: Small, light-weight, easy to use Cons: Can't expand, screen is a little small
I was debating whether to get one or not. They aren't all that cheap. However, if you like to be organized and not late for appointments, then they are quite helpful. It's very easy to put info. into.
Pros: easy to use- small and very portable- the price is relatively low Cons: there is no modem- no email

Pros: Lightweight, Easy to use, 8 MB RAM Cons: Cannot upgrade OS, Small screen
This palm has some great features for a beginning palm owner that wants to keep their life organized. It comes with OS 3.5, which has included the basic schedule, address, and to-do applications, and this palm, unlike the m100, has 8 MB of RAM which...
Pros: lightweight, small, easy to use Cons: not enought features, hard to read in night, "writing" feature hard to use.
The Palm m105 gets down to the basics. Instead of being flashy, color screen, lots of games, built-in internet, and other things, the m105 has the bascis. Date book, calculator, etc. This is basic.
Pros: Incredibly easy to use...great PC compatibility features! Cons: Doesn't have latest software for Windows...no upgrade available for OS
I've been wanting a PDA for quite a while now, and decided to finally plunk down the money when the m105 came out. At $199 and 8 mb, it fits my finances and my lifestyle needs. Personally, I need a PDA for typical, everyday scheduling, address book,...
Pros: 8M of memory,
small,
fairly cheap Cons: Small screen,
OS not upgradeable,
not expandable
The m105 is a neat counterpoint to Palm's flagship m50x series. The m100 is designed as an entry-level product, but the nearly identical m105 is aimed at a curious niche market: folk who don't want the top shelf m500 or m505, but find the m100's 2M...
I experienced rather troubling performance with a Palm m100 that is applicable to the m105 as well, this product as well as the other products using the design mentioned below may not be suited for everyone, read on before you buy.
Pros: small, light, relatively cheap Cons: small screen, lack of expandability functions and expensive for the current market
The palm m105 is a recent addition to the Palm Computing handheld line of products. This handheld is geared towards consumers who are either new to the PDA scene or are economically conscious. This handheld is a good idea, but for the price, it is too...
Pros: Design, features, and price Cons: small screen and not upgradeable
The Palm m105 has recently came out and is perfect for almost everyone. It is very easy to use and anyone can operate it. This isn't perfect for beginners since it is easy to operate and non-upgradeable. But after a while with it you will need to get...
Pros: More for your money, and you still get the compact design of the m100. Cons: Could still use a little more umph.
This is actually the opinion I posted against the m100 before the m105 was available. It lists the reasons why you should get the m105 as opposed to the m100. It has a Very Helpful rating to this point.

Pros: Small, fast, lightweight, and INCLUDES HotSync Cradle. Cons: Missing Expense App. and isn't upgradeable.
The Palm m105 is the next best thing to the Palm Vx if you ask me. Everything anyone could ever ask for in a cost effective PDA is delivered here. The Palm m105 has a built in 8MB of memory, which is 6MB more than the m100 shipped with. Also, it includes...
Pros: small, lightweight, 8MB RAM, carry in pocket
Cons: tiny screen, OS not upgradeable
I bought the m105 to use as a "lightweight" companion to my Handspring Visor Deluxe and I can safely say that the m105 is superior to the Visor in one way, and one way only: size.
The new m105 comes with 8mb of RAM which is quite an...
Major flaw, otherwise immensely useful by mattmania ,Mar 29 '05
Pros: Cheap to operate (2 AA per month) and buy. Palm OS, cradle. Cons: Data loss with battery swap of anything not previously sync'ed.
The bad: Every time I have to change the batteries (which I have learned to do in about 5 seconds) the data in the unit is lost. So you need to pay close attention to your battery level, and sync the data before you swap batteries. Sync frequently! Don't leave it in your cold car! Also, the screen is small for my eyes.
The Good: Great interface (Palm OS), connecting to AvantGo.com to get loads of news, content with every sync. Great way to keep all indespensible info, reminders, etc.. on your person at all times. Sturdy, comfortable unit. excellent compromise of size and functionality.
Quality not great -- broke far sooner than it should have by santelmannl ,Oct 10 '04
Pros: Price and functionality - cheap and has all basic functions. Cons: Quality is lousy. Didn't last nearly as long as it should have.
I need a basic organizer with no bells and whistles and decided on this after my ancient Palm (the original!) hit the floor once too often.
While this one has all the functionality that I needed, the quality and durability are really lousy! The flip cover broke within the first 6 months, and now less than a year later the on-off button has gone. No way to repair.
My palm was not abused -- just carried to work in a pocket of my bag, and taken out and used 3-4 times a day. This was clearly not well constructed. I'm seriously doubting whether to buy another Palm based on this experience.
Also, every time I changed batteries, I would lose all of my data. Very, very frustrating. I was good about syncing it, so I rarely lost anything important, but my earlier model never lost data when I changed the batteries.
Pros: You can beam games good clock and lots of space Cons: u run out of battery power to fast
Well i bought mine used off ebay with a large package of stuff so i really enjoyed mine plus i found alot of websites with fun games. also i could bring it to school and play games in class and just tell my teachers that i was putting in my home work. overall i give it a 5 out of 5
Palm m105 for business not pleasure! by aquariguy89 ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: Easy usability, its notepad, its easy hot-sync capabilities and downloading capabilities. Cons: No color screen, graffiti writing style and it's shape can sometimes be weird to store .
The Palm m105 is an excellent item for its original purpose to keep your schedule in order. If your looking for games a color screen you may want to look elsewhere. But if you just want to keep your schedule intact and your life in-order (as much as you can) and some small entertainment. This is the item for you! The easy usability and straightforwardness of this product is definitely for the on the go person. This is great for business people, Parent, and the busy teen. The Palm m105 has AOL, Date planner, and Note Pad among other things.
Pros: Cheap more than enough memory for the average person Cons: Uses AAA batteries instead of a built in rechargeable
If you're looking for an all in one Cell phone/Camera/MP3 player/microwave oven then keep looking. This is a great deal if you know what you're going to use this for, a date book, address book, notepad etc. I use this for a few things, addresses, phone numbers, a few games and for AvantGo. AvantGo is a website that offers mobile versions of websites that can be updated when you HotSync. I originally bought this to be organized and keep all of my appointments. That lasted about a month. I'm glad I didn't spend the extra $400 to get the top of the line colour Palm because it would have been a waste. Before you spend $500+ on a PDA consider buying a cheaper one from a store with a good return policy. Use it for the 30 or 60 days and then decide if you really need that camera or the MP3 player built in. The only thing I don't like about this unit is that it uses AAA batteries. I wish it had a rechargeable pack built in.
great for people who dont need color by binarypc ,Nov 04 '03
Pros: cheap, good mem, nice screen, functional Cons: non-color, no modem
i love this PDA! It is great, loads of memory for beginners, and you can put whatever you want on it (except for a modem). Yep, I would reccomend this soo badly. Its a great palm.
The only things that could improve would be a color screen and modem attachment...
Good while it lasts (until warrantly expired) by aolsson_dt3000 ,Sep 25 '03
Pros: Cheap. Easy to use. Cons: Too cheaply built. Loses all data on battery change.
I have just sent my M105 to the garbage can.
The reason is that the tiny capacitor that should allegedly hold the data for just enough time to allow for a battery change ceased to work. This meant that whenever I had to load new alkalines all data was lost. I could of course perform a Hot-Synch before and after this operation but I am not always close to base so this did not really work for me.
Basically I like the simple frugal features of the Palm but I honestly feel that compared to the earlier models the quality has gone down significantly.
I'm a Paramedic and use this device with mapping and medical applications. It's proven itself to be reliable and has taken considerable abuse. Palm REALLY needs to come up with some way to use PDF and DOC files without spending more than the PDA costs. My partner has a Sony and has both PDF and DOC files he can use as well as a backlight that really lights up the screen. I'd buy the Sony!

its a very good item, i recomend this for anyone. This is much better than ive had before.
It performed higher than i expected.I this this product is very handy for organising yourself, before i used this i wasn't very organised now i am.
Well my palm m105 has worked wonders for me it not just fashionable but very light and easy to use although I was a bit confused with the instructions but a little playing around with it worked wonders.
I always have it with me and it has saved my life in so many ways in remembering birthdates etc, i have really hard days at work and remembering everthing was impossible until I purchased one of these babys.
Love the unit, easy to... by xtreme_dt3000 ,Dec 30 '02
Love the unit, easy to use, very sleek design, loads of memory, syncs quickly but writing pad wears out way too fast and Palm would not support this wear and tear problem.
the product is good espeacially for students like me who need most of the help in our work loads.its easy to carry and i think it can easily be maintained.the only problem is it is too costly.but i guess good products deserve a great price.the technological aspect of the product is so great.
this is probbably the best... by jonothan_dt3000 ,Nov 28 '02
this is probbably the best priced palm out there. the next version shoots up in price amd for what? color! i would suggest this product to anyone who needs a palm for work or colledge. it has 8 megabytes of memory which is great for almost infinite notes. the date book and adress book make organizing a cinch. i think this a must for students and graduates alike. it has everything a palm should have, and ,unlike the other palms is not outdated or overpriced
It's nice, afordable, easy to carry around, easy usauge. It's just so remarklble. This is a great gift for teachers or a college student. This is a great Christmas gift.
This Plam m105 is a good thing for back to school. It is a great way to stay organized and keep everything straight. It is great to have so you dont forget anything you have to do in a day's work.

organise your whole day at the touch of a button. no worries about forgetting any thing just get it out and take a look there you have it your whole day
I love this product. I have only had for a few days now, as it was a birthday gift. It is one of the best things I have ever owned. It is easy to use. I have all my important information at my fingertips all day. Email addresses, phone and addresses, birthdays, etc.
I LOVE THIS PALM PILOT
this is really cool and the price range is acceptable.it's really good and people can easily remember what they need to do with that because they can carry it around and it's pocketable and good.it's really fast and quick to install messages in it or reminders.
This is my first PDA... by buddy_dt3000 ,Oct 07 '02
This is my first PDA and I'm sold. I don't know how I lived without one. This PDA is inexpensive and provides all the features that most people would need. Its a lot lighter than my old dayplanner. Fits easily into my pockets. Email feature is superb.
Much more practical than my Palm V, or my two Palm 3e's. Athough they have bigger screens. This little unit is very impressive for the price. I have only owned one week. Concerns about battery life, because my Palm 3e's are poor in this regard. Rechargeables is the way to go. Screen really impresses me as I have the Sony Clie T415, and in spite of its higher resolution, is much harder to read than the 105.I really like this little guy.
I've been carrying a pocket... by cooly_dt3000 ,Sep 12 '02
I've been carrying a pocket calendar for years, but will soon replace it with my Palm m105, which Ive been using for just over a year now. An example of why I'm switching over is that, with my m105, I am able to carry all of my important phone numbers and addresses with me instead of having to rewrite them each year or leave it at home with last years calendar. All other functions offered in the m105 are practical and easy to use. I enhanced my m105 with a third-party office suite and this allows me to take working documents with me on my m105 without having to tackle the expense of a laptop. Of course this would apply if I bought any other PDA, but that is the reason I went with the m105 to begin with--a practical product for a practical price.

If you can reasonably use a computer meaning you could navigate yourself to this review now, then you could without a doubt use this PDA. I spent much time debating whether or not to buy this or the m130 color PDA. Well they have the same space and can pretty much do the same thing. With my shallow wallet I had to give a nod to the m105. It is so light and small (screens a little too small but you won't notice it unless you have used another PDA before) I'd recommend it to anyone with a small budget, who wasn't a business executive, and who wanted to see if a PDA is something they need. It is very durable and even better if you get a leather case. Hey I only paid 90 dollars for it and am using it in the 9th grade. Great for people on the go or pretty much anyone!
I love my M105. I have been using many features, especially Advantgo. What a great program. I only wish I had held for a slightly more advanced model. I've only had mine a week, but I can see that I'm going to fill up the 8MB on this unit very quickly.
Still, it does a great job and is much more advanced than I expected for a palm under $100.
This is my first PDA.... by pghmom_dt3000 ,Aug 14 '02
This is my first PDA. I am quite pleased with it. While my husband refers to it as my toy, it has helped to organize my work much more than my paper planners ever did. In addition, my secretary can make appointments for me when I am out of the office and have my PDA with me. I encourage all my colleages to make the change and to try this model.

This hand held organizer is wonderful!! I absolutley love them!! Unfortunatley I had to give it a 4 for over all, because you used if for a couple of hours and the battery runs out!! Also it would be much more attractive if it was a color screen!!
It may not be in color but it really gets your adrenaline rushing in a good way. It helps get you started.Take a look at your daily chores or daily meetings on your palm pilot.I think this is the best to use and it really is easy to use too.So I think this is the best palm pilot you could buy and it is also a cheap cost!

First time palm uses should purchase this model its great because it is very easy to use. It is light weight and very afforable. It also changes colors with your outfits. The only thing once you have a new power toy and you get use to it you really don't want to let it go. So it needs more upgrade software for different things. But I love my power toy

Everything on the palm M105... by christie_dt3000 ,Mar 13 '02
Everything on the palm M105 is great and it is cost effective, but there is no colour and it would help young adults with a bit of colour for enthusiasm and attractive. the email is a bit slow , but apart from that, everything else is a big pro. I have used one of another brand but basically the same features, but this is better (apart from the colour) because it is fast and inexpensive.
