Eek! I got this as a wedding gift. I made scalloped potatoes in it the first time, and I thought I followed all the directions. I figured the cheese in the scallops would be greasy enough for the first time. They cooked up nice and even and smelled wonderful.
Until I tasted them. They had this horrible bitter after taste. We ended up feeding the entire pan to the dog and luckily she ate it, lol. I don't know what else it could be, the only thing different was the pan. I'm sort of gun shy to try another dish with it again. Maybe I'll grease it and just cook it empty for a time or two. All I can figure is that it was something burning off the new pan?
I hope I can come back here soon and tell a different story the next time I use it!
