Panasonic CW-XC143EU Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner

Pros: Great cooling in a 110V, quiet, energy efficient
Cons: Big! Not as powerful as some 220V, too white.

This is the best window unit i ever owned. I bought this to replace an AC that cost a fortune in electricity, was loud, and didn't cool well.
The install is not bad: the unit slides out of its housing, you put the housing in the window and then you slid the unit back in and put the face plate on.

It is fairly quiet, and cools my 700 sqft apartment great. It has pretty good thermostat, doesn't turn on and off all the time. Even on hot days of 95+ it doesn't run constantly; (I like to feel like i am not straining it) And most of the time it cools the whole place within a half hour, so i don't have to leave it running while i am gone.

It is fairly big though, so measure your window (and your car!) before you buy it. Also, it is white, not light grey or cream, so it will show dust and need to be cleaned. I have found you can put the front plate in the dishwasher and it comes out looking great.
