Pour some sugar on me! It's My Greatest Love. With no digestible calories!

by PattyTherre PattyTherre is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Wellness & Beauty, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 01 '06
Pros: Leaves face ultra smooth and glowing, doesn't cause irritation or breakouts, concentrated
Cons: Expensive, of course. Sensitive skin types may find this too abrasive
Although I use Philosophy's The Microdelivery Peel weekly, I like to use a traditional scrub about every two to three days to keep my face smooth and deeply cleansed. Until very recently, I was not a fan of any scrubs ...

Pros: effective manual exfoliation, moisturising, leaves skin silky soft
Cons: can irritate sensitive skins, price
What's so great about Philosophy? Well, their Greatest Hits pack for one. This review is the partner to my The Great Mystery review because I received that product together with The Greatest Love as a gift from a friend. I...

The Greatest Love - Not For Chicks With Sensitive Skin

by kristinafh Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Aug 29 '02
Pros: Well I can use it on other body parts.
Cons: Hurts like heck when I rub it into my face.
Preamble
I first became aware of Philosophy's products about two years ago. What I find with most of their products is that I either really love them or really hate them. Unfortunately, here's one that's not on my love list.

A Great Love

by sarahmcd , Mar 15 '03
Pros: Smooths, softens, makes skin look healthy.
Cons: Cost, but it's worth it.
I have very dry skin, and am particularly fond of exfoliating, especially in winter months. I just can't stand having dead skin accumulating on me, so I slough it off frequently. Because of this, I am forever in search of the best facial exfoliator...

oooohhhh . . . .exfoliation.......

by missylissy , Dec 23 '03
Pros: great scrubbies, very moisturizing....too fun to use.
Cons: Too fun to use, and a tad pricey.
After being stuck in a motel watching QVC for a few days, I caved and bought the philosophy girl kit in an effort to continue with my never-ending quest for beauty. I tried all of the products (more individual reviews later) and I must say , I am ...

Yay Microdermabrasion!

by carokoo , Nov 09 '02
Pros: made skin silky smooth, quick, easy, options!
Cons: expensive, not for oily skins
The Greatest Love is Philosophy's facial scrub - some companies use micro-round granules, some use salt, but Philosophy, I believe, uses sugar-like crystals. It accounts for the very slight scent and also for a very quirky action that happens when you...

Pros: Delivers immediate results and silky skin!

Love It???

by jbar , Dec 23 '03
Pros: Easy to use and does not take a lot of time.
Cons: Difficult to rinse off and may be too harsh for sensitive skin.
Here is the information from Philosophy.com that tells you why you need this product: you want to maximize the effects of your treatment products - your skin is sundamaged, uneven, dull, clogged, or bumpy - your skin is taupe - your skin no ...

Best scrub I've found - and I have sensitive skin!
by mineralgirl ,Mar 22 '04
Pros: Left skin clean, exfoliated and hydrated. Get the rosy glow back!
Cons: May cause irritation, you have to use a cleanser afterwards
I have dry, sensitive skin... it hates change and usually shows it's distaste by breaking out.

This scrub did not break me out and it even tamed the annoying flakies I get on my nose!

Yes, it can be irritating if you are really heavy handed with it. Scrub easy and you'll get a lighter exfoliation.

You also HAVE to use Real Purity Cleanser (or your own cleanser) to remove it from your face. Once you add water, the exfoliating scrub melts into a deeply moisturing product that won't rinse away with mere water!

It left my skin super hydrated, super exfoliated and very clean. I use this twice a week.

A Microdermabration that doesn't dry out
by amberisabel ,Dec 11 '04
Pros: Hydration, clean, wonderful fragrance, easy to travel with, not too irritating, love their inspirational philosphies.
Cons: High cost, but for the quality of product seems to be a good trade-off.

FINALLY!

A product that won't dry out my skin and leave me with zits the next morning,
I'm in LOVE! I bought the package of "the greatest love" & "the great mystery".
My aesthetician told me to exfoliate regularly, so I tried this product as suggested
and with fantastic results, a clean even looking skin that's well hydrated!
I use the two products together if I have skipped the recommended ritual.
