Pros: Very comfortable even after hours of having them on my head. Cons: The volume switch on the headset cable should clip onto your shirt.

Pros: Perfect for ViaVoice and listening enjoyment. Cons: Earpieces push against ear and cause discomfort over time.
I purchased this unit for my Macintosh and no software was required (osx10.3.4). However, the extra software (included for pc and not really needed) was not compliant. If the user is planning on wearing the headset for more than an hour at a time, I would advise another product. These earpieces push against the ear instead of fitting comfortably over them. My overall rating is 3 of 5. This headset was recommended by IBM's ViaVoice software. It has excellent sound input qualities and works outstanding with this software.
Pros: Good adjustment on my head. Good quality. Cons: *** Nothing ***
I love this headset. Its very good. Crystal clear sound. Very comfortable on my big head. I use it with skype for VOIP aswell as for gaming. Its awesome.
Great Headset for Gaming by phantomace ,Nov 28 '04
Pros: Easy to use, good sound quality, very clear voice. Cons: Headset can get uncomfortable over time.
I am an avid gamer. I bought this product because I was looking for a headset that would deliver great sound qualities in computer games and that would allow me to talk clearly to my clanmates at the same time.
This plantronics headset delivers. I could hear every headset much more clearly than I could using my old $20 logitech. My clanmates also commented on how much more clearly I sounded in matches. Outside of games, I use this headset to listen to music. I would recommend that you download the software from the manufacturers website, as this allows you to change some settings more easily.
My only complaint is that after several hours of use the earpads seem to push down on my ears. The pads do not seem to be replacable.
I bought my headset for $55 off of newegg. Search for "Counterstrike Headset". It is exactly like a DSP-500 except that it is yellow and blue instead of black.
