Pros: Small & lightweight, versatile charging options, crystal-clear calls, portable/carrying case included. Cons: Volume rocker button may be too small for big hands.
I've had the Jabra BT-200 and the Sony/Ericsson HBH-300 in the past. I enjoyed the in-ear canal design of the Jabra headset but the static was horrible even if my Motorola v710 phone was next to it. The Sony Ericsson had great reception but the fit ...
Pros: slim profile, sleek look, great accessories Cons: Some static, even when less than four feet from the phone
I recently received the earpiece as an early Christmas gift from my overseas brother. After a few days of use, I can make the following observations: Slim profile: are you mortified that you're going to be one of those guys obnoxiously yakking into ...
Pros: Fantastic design, great sound, attractive & accessories make it worth the extra cost. Cons: A little pricey. Rubber earbuds may attract dirt.
Although it cost twice the other popular headsets, it's worth it. It includes a very sturdy, lightweight & compact carrying case for headset & accessories. The accessories include charging adapters for a few of the more popular phone chargers. I didn't ...
Pros: Best sound quality, smallest of the pack Cons: Small buttons
I bought a Motorola HS850 Headset to use with my RAZR. I work from my car most of the time and I had been using the Motorola for 3 months but was tired of: 1. The fit on my ear was too loose 2. My clients kept telling me that they could hear an ...
Pros: Good sound quality, light, flexible charge options, easy to pair up. Cons: eargels can be uncomfortable at first.
I had a Motorola H850 as my first bluetooth headset, it was OK but not great, I then tried the newer replacement to that the H70 I think it was, the fit was better but the sound was terrible. Then I tried the Plantronics Discovery 640 and what a ...
Pros: Light, works well, portable battery charging Cons: expensive
Here is what this device means to me: Usability: It works, and works well. I rarely am 30ft away from my cell phone, but I am often 10-12 feet, and it works perfect. One button touch and the phone is answered and I am able to talk. Charging: I ...
Pros: Great size, style, battery life, and options! Cons: Can't find any!
This Plantronics headset is really great. The quality of sound comes through crystal clear up to 33 feet away from your device. To be quite honest, I have had several headsets in the past, and the majority of them function fairly well. The thing that ...
Pros: Strong, crisp sound (even in the car). Comfort. Cons: AC battery charger could be designed better!
I've searched and searched for both wired and wireless bluetooth headsets that offered strong volume. It has not been an easy task. It seemed that when in the car, I was having to crank it up and still having to disconnect and use the phone. In the ...
Excellent headset - the best I've had so far! by kwarnold ,Oct 24 '06
Pros: Size, charging options, in-the-ear configuration Cons: Sometimes hard to keep in charger, but not as bad as many have said.
I have gone through a number of bluetooth headsets in the search for the "perfect" one. So far this has been a very satisfying headset to wear and use.
The sound is very good and I have had few complaints so far. I think any headset will give you that "speaker phone" effect, and this one is no different. But I have had good audio reports and it is plenty loud for listening.
One of the features I was looking for was an in-the-ear headset, one that didn't have to hook around my ear. Since I frequently wear sunglasses when I drive, I tired of having to struggle to put on a headset AND wear glasses at the same time. This works perfect for that.
You get what you pay for. You can buy cheaper headsets, but in the end, if you want quality you have to pay for it. And this is a good example of that in action.
Ultimate Bluetooth headset !!! Awesome by miveg ,Jan 03 '06
Pros: ultra light weight
charges with AAA battery or phone chargers
excellent clarity
style
Cons: possibility of ear plug being or becoming loose.
girlfriend may take it!
I have now had this headset for about 2 weeks.. It is awesome!
previously I had a Motorola and the top of the line Jabra with caller id.. (both too floppy on my ear and unusable in the Miata convertible.
ultra light weight. I regularly look for it and realize that it is in my ear... no comments about my hair color.. LOL
It has many convenient charging options!
1. wall charger provided
2. use one AAA battery for 15 HOURS talk time
3. charge with most cell phone car chargers
This is my third bluetooth headset. I was last using the Samsung WEP with fair success. It fell out of my ear and came apart in pieces twice. The second time I couldn't put it together so I replaced it with the Plantronic model. I have had it for a week now and it fits a little more securely in my ear and provides great sound on incoming calls. It is quite light and very comfortable. Very well designed. Controls easily managed by my large and clumsy fingers. Easy to use and very easy pairing with my Verizon Motorola phone. My callers reports that they cannot tell that I am on a headset as long as I am in a quiet environment. The microphone apparently picks up a lot of background noise, though and loses practicality. I took a call while roaming in an airport and the background noise proved to be too much for my caller. In the car and in my office or a quiet room it has been fine. I like the accessories, holder and charging options also. Very neat. Just can't use it in noisy environments.
Pros: lightweight, excellent quality sound and volume. Cons: worn out after a year
I have had one of these for about a year. I like using it without the ear clip. Initially it worked great that way. However, with time the "hinge" between the earbud and the rest of the unit has loosened and now it won't stay pointed toward my mouth, but just hangs down toward my shoulder.
Pros: Small size, looks cool, easy to operate. Cons: Reception range, ear gels, feel of plastic.
I have owned my 640 for about two months now.
The small size appealed to me, as I did not want
to look like either Spock or Data while using it.
I have been reasonably happy with it.
It is comfortable, but the ear gels that come with it
aren't the greatest.
A lot of reviewers state that the loop attachment for the
ear is uncomfortable, but I haven't found that to be the
case.
Supposedly the range is 30 feet, but I have found that
reception drops off about 10 feet away from the handset.
This is one area where there could be improvement.
Also, the plastic material of the headset doesn't have
the greatest feel. I would spend 20-30 more if it were
made from lightweight aluminum or a similar material.
The jury is out whether I would buy another one or not.
