Polaroid DPA08055S 8 in. Portable DVD Player with Screen

Cons: cheap, you get what you pay for, and maybe not even that

We bought this knowing it won't last long but at an out of pocket final cost of sixty bucks, we took a gamble.  Sure enough, 1 trip in the car and exactly 1 hour later, the sound on the second screen would not work.  Tried everything, plug, ...

Pros: None - as it would not work past the 1st 30 mins of play.
Cons: N/A

We bought this as a replacement to a set that had outlived its life. The kids were all excited to be able to watch their favorite movies again while we went on our weekend adventures. That didn't last long. After about 30 mins into the movie, the player froze. We tried a few other discs, none of which would engage. On our way back home, they wanted to try it again; there were whoops and yays as the movie began, but the end result was the same. I expected more from "Polaroid"; this didn't even make it out of the gate.

Cons: Piece of junk.   

Purchased this product at Target. It stopped working 18 days after return policy for Target ended and 90 day warranty expired.  Neither Target or Polaroid would resolve the problem.  Terrible customer service from both.  Stuck with dvd player that won't work. Very disappointed in both companies.

Pros: cheap Price ($200 or less)
Cons: Cheap Product. Polaroid service claimed a 5% malfuncion rate.

This is a horrible unit. From the beginning it did not work as you expect modern electronics to work. It had a hard time reading disks. I did not use it much but on a long trip it inexplicably stopped after 15 to 20 minutes. It stopped working altogether when it became obvious it was overheating. It seems another reviewer had just about the same problem. Only a 90 day warranty and they wanted more money to get an exchange after the 90 days was up. Buyer beware!

I had a problem with the other Polaroid product that I bought (a digital camera. The LCD went out on that)

Don't buy Polaroid!!!
