Pros: Excellent sound, looks good, not too large, good response, handles high power Cons: The rubber door on the speaker wire connectors could be designed more sturdy.
I recently purchased a set of Pyle PDWR63 outdoor speakers. I bought them to use on my deck that is attached to the rear of my house. I have a hot tub out there, so I wanted to be able to listen to CDs or my favorite station while in the tub. I am ...

Pros: Efficiency, Power-Handling, Well-Constructed, Easy-to-drive impedance Cons: Slightly light in the bass, somewhat larger than I expected, not the most elegant appearance
The Pyles ended up being larger than I anticipated, and so they are being used to provide music in my garage rather in my backyard as I had originally intended. I am currently seeking something a little smaller to tuck under the roof around back. Still,...

Pyles sound great!
by mlongtin ,Jul 19 '04
Pros: Unbelievable sound, especially for the amazing price Cons: The mounting bracket is a little flimsy
I bought a pair of Pyle PDWR63 speakers for my pool area. I went to various department stores to listen to several brands (JBL, Yamaha, Bose, Sony, etc.) I wasn't particularly happy with the sound of any of them except for the Bose, which were far and away the best, but they also had a hefty price tag, which I wasn't willing to pay.
So I did a little research online, and I saw that lots of people had good things to say about Pyle. I'm not an experienced audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but I can tell the difference between good speakers and mediocre speakers.
So I figured I'd take a chance and get some Pyles. Boy, was I glad I did! I could not believe my ears! In my opinion, the bass response was superb and the efficiency was high - they sounded great even at low volume levels. They can handle 350 watts per channel, which is amazing - way more than I'd ever need. But I was blown away by what I got for the price. They sounded a lot like the Bose I heard at best Buy.

Great Speakers!
by frickster ,Jun 17 '04
Pros: Big Sound, Great Quality, Great Price, Easy Installation Cons: Size
These speakers are large and can project big sound in a large backyard environment. For the money, you cannot beat the quality of construction and the sound. With 150 watts of power per channel or more, the bass response is superb. These speakers can handle up to 350 watts - not even available on most outdoor speakers at any price. I paid about $75.00 for a pair of these speakers and cannot believe how they compare to the likes of Bose, JBL, etc. for a fraction of the price. Save your money, especially if you will be using these speakers in an outdoor environment, as you will thoroughly enjoy your property (but your neighbors will complain if you don't constrain yourselves).

excellent product !!!!
by mtgarcia70 ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: the performance is really amazing and for the price is just killing everyone else. Cons: is 2 inches more than Niles and 1 inch wider than Bose.
This is a great product that has more response than NILES or even Bose. it has a switch if you are going to use it indoors. the sound is great and handles higher peaks than their similar branches. the price is just unbelievable compare with the competition. I was scared that a product for that price was not going to meet the rest of my equipment and i was wrong.
