Pros: An economical, generally un-crowded way to fly. Low passenger loads can make stretching out easier. Cons: Worn out seats and carpets, lousy food and poor music channels.
Royal Brunei Airlines connects many of South East Asia's cities with Australia, New Zealand, The United Arab Emirates, London and Frankfurt. This review is of their longest journey from Brisbane Australia to London and return. I have written Epini ...
Pros: Refurbished and CLEAN aircraft, great crew, good entertainment & food Cons: 1 or 2 in the fleet still not refurbished; wish they flew to East Asia!
Recently flew Royal Brunei Economy class BNE-BWN-KUL-BWN-BNE. We chose Royal Brunei due to an amazingly cheap 35-day ticket they offered-- around AU$750, which was about AU$150 cheaper than Malaysia Airlines, and about AU$250 cheaper than Singapore ...
Pros: Good food, decent servings
Drinks served regularly
Newer planes have good entertainment selection
Competitive price Cons: Some very old aircraft still in use.
My girlfriend and I recently flew this airline from London to Darwin (Australia) and return. We picked them because they have quite a good name in Darwin for being an affordable and good airline to fly with (particularly out of Darwin). In short our ...
Pros: The Price, Food. Cons: Some old and dodgy equipment, some attaendants not really making you feel very welcome.
Brunei is a fairly rich country with oil and gas so I was expecting something not too shabby from their airline and for the most part that was correct. Complimentry newspapers are available as you board, then once you are seated a prayer is said to ...
Pros: lovely staff refurbished planes are great seat back entertainment is brilliant great food Cons: Brunei airport a bit quiet the older planes are not as impressive
Flew Royal Brunei Airlines in November '08 London to Perth, via Dubai and Brunei, and had read such awful reviews online that we were dreading it.Could not have been more wrong - we had the new refurbished planes for most of the journey, with ...
No complaints with aircraft, food, crew or entertainment
Cons: Extremely long flight - 32 hours as opposed to 26 hours via Singapore
I had read several negative reviews of RBA but the cost of their Auckland-London-Auckland flight was NZ$2200 as opposed to the next cheapest, Singapore Air NZ$2850 (Sept 08). So being relatively hard-up I chose the savings. Not always the wisest move ...
Royal Brunei Airlines - Avoid by kman97 ,Sep 27 '07
Pros: Low Fares Cons: Security of bags followed by non existent customer services
I checked in Singapore for a Dubai flight (stopover in Brunei). Someone (must be the handling staff) opened our checked in bags and stole a Digital camera, MP3 player and an expensive watch. Royal Brunei could be less bothered and they were clearly hoping I would get frustrated and stop following up on my complaint (in which they succeeded !)
In the end, I dont think I have any recourse so YOU be careful
