Pros: Inexpensive, excellent internet features (Blockbuster, Netflix, Pandora, YouTube), plays USB media, easy setup, it works! Cons: Expensive wireless adapter, does not "remember" watched disks
I bought this Blu-Ray player for $128 at Sam's Club. I have been satisfied with the clarity of DVDs myself so I purchased this player more for the internet features that it offered, making it a true entertaiment hub as opposed to just a DVD/Blu-Ray ...

Pros: Standard DVD's definately better & BluRay disks are perfect. Loads/Reads/Resumes/ejects promptly. Cons: Not able to connect wireless to view features. Additional cost to do so is disappointing.
I purchased a BD-P1590 from Sam's Club for approx $180 after getting researching on-line reviews and comparing to the BD-P1600 (about the same). I connected to a Samsung LN-T4669F 46"LCD via HDMI cable, but had difficulty with the Allnet . ...

Performance spotty, support weaker
by dsmeeth ,Nov 11 '09
Pros: plays Netflix, Pandora. Cons: Doesn't work right, support process is not helpful.
I bought this unit for the Netflix and Pandora features, which I've enjoyed greatly. However, the disc player stumbles frequently when playing DVDs, requiring frequent turning off and on to get it back on track. Called Samsung and they are only interested in having me re-set the machine back to factory specs. Which I did and the problem is still present. Now they need me to ship it back to New Jersey at my expense, so that they can look it over. If they agree that there is a problem, they'll replace or fix it. Given the impracticality of going without for several weeks, I declined this offer and have decided to suffer through using the machine for as long as I can.
This is my first Samsung purchase and I will never make another one. I blew it by not returning it to Best Buy within the 30 days they allow for this.
