Cons: well like i said like some others it stops or freezes up when playing

Mine freezes up when playing DVD. Even brand new ones right out box. No problems with VHS part. I was wondering if Sanyo had a recall on them.

Pros: Nice looking, easy to use.
Cons: DVD player isn't reliable.

We've had ours for a while now, used only on occasion, because we needed both a new VHS and DVD player and while I'm weary about 2 in ones, decided to try it out. VHS side works great, DVD side is very fickle. Will freeze up almost every time we play any DVD, sometimes it won't even play them at all, which is a big problem since we usually watch DVDs.

Pros: It plays normal dvd's just fine.
Cons: Confusing remote, no error correction on problem discs.

Missing one model up. We bought this one at WalMart for grandpa. Not going to be a long review. But so far, it's okay for playing normal dvd's. But that's about the only positives I can say about it. It's hard to be positive when the dvd player is in stereo but the vcr portion is mono.

And it doesn't seem to have any error correction. It doesn't play problematic dvd - r's very well and is horrible on playing cd-r's. (we downloaded a couple of legal albums Andrews Sisters and a rarities album spanning 1914-1946 and it had trouble playing tracks 10-24 Andrews Sisters it didn't play at all.... But both cdr's played fine in moms old regular normal cd stereo. )Frankly, I'd avoid combo's all together. It's more worth to buy a dvd and vcr. Much more reliable. Sanyo may make great tv's, but not this particular combo. :( Getting customer support is interesting. Even on Sanyo's on website, it lists a seperate phone line fore Sanyo combo players bought at Walmart. This is simply a theory, but I wonder if it's simply made by Walmart and they bought the Sanyo name to stick on it. :(

Cons: Poor hacking multiregion code... Confuse remote control

No zoom on the remote control...

Want to make it multi region and no page on internet has nothing on hacking the code... so is very little known by experts
