Pros: Very good classic game Cons: sometimes people get a little to stressed about it.
I have many, many sets of this classic game. My favorite was the deluxe edition that I purchased at a tag sale for .50 cents. It was in mint condition.-Obviously the past owner was not as big an enthusiast as I am-.
Despite Scrabble's obvious...

Pros: Educational, requires a level of strategy, hours of entertainment, and a fun game. Cons: Tiles are small and can "get lost".
Scrabble, marketed by the toy company, Hasbro, is an extremely fun and educational game. This game requires no cables, cords, electricity, or batteries. Scrabble was invented by Alfred Butts, during America's Great Depression. Letters are awarded a...

Pros: Educational, helps develop vocab, Cons: takes some time to play
It seems like I've played scrabble from as young as I can ever remember. I remember sitting on cold winter evenings in front of the fire playing a game of scrabble with my parents and brother. It was just a part of life. As I grew older obviously my...

Pros: Great family game Cons: It can really get frustrating
After writing my review of Monopoly I decided that second in the Board Game Monarchy would be Scrabble.
Scrabble's basic rules are easy to learn, but it may take a while to master them. Basically all you do is take turns picking 7 letters out...

Pros: Competitive, thought-provoking, fun. A good way to pass time. Cons: Can get boring of you're losing or not competitive.
I first started playing Scrabble at a young age. The only necessary skill to play the game is spelling. This is a natural, simple game. It's one of those classics that have a bunch of offshoots (Boggle, UpWords) attempt to take away it's glory.

Pros: Fun, your brain plays too, good for kids to become comfortable with the language Cons: What cons?
What is great about Scrabble is it mixes fun with thinking. The whole family can enjoy it and spend quality time together. Simultaneously, you get to use your mind: you formulate words with the limited letters you are given, trying to create the...

Pros: Fun, Challenging Cons: waiting for the others to take their turn
Scrabble is one of my all time favorite games. I love playing with family and friends, especially when I win! This is a great game to play on a rainy day or just when you feel like a challenge. I also like the fact that you can play with 2 to 4 players,...

Pros: exercises the ability to reason and count Cons: lots of pieces with a need for freedom
I'm afraid I made a very serious mistake. I cleaned out our hall closet and got to the games shelf. I gave away games that my little family has outgrown, and the ones that were missing too many pieces to be useful. I think I went too far. I counted...

Pros: Great 'Thinking' Game, Fun in Groups Cons: Can Take Too Long
Scrabble is just about perfect. It combines a classic crossword puzzle design with an intellectual word-trivia twist. You all know the game, so I won't go into detail about the rules. However, I've added an additional twist to the game that has made it...
