Sounds Good - and the Spouse is Sleeping Better

by sspetter , Aug 17 '07
Pros: Good Sound, easily replaced batteries, good charging system, good quality
Cons: Initial charging is SLOW, awkward placement of controls
If you love movies, and you love the person you call your Significant Other, it really is possible to delight your ears without a trip to the divorce court. I won't go as far as to claim that these "cans" can save a troubled relationship, but when ...

Great Walkabout Headphones

by tnhiker865 , Sep 25 '05
Pros: Crisp, rich sound. Good range. Comfortable.
Cons: Pricey. Leather earcups would be nice.
Wireless RF (radio frequency--think cordless phones)headphones allow you to move from room to room while listening to your favorite audio. Sennheiser is one of the top-rated manufacturers of headphones and after considering wireless headphones by ...

Comfortable headphones with great sound

by thewizard16 , Feb 24 '08
Pros: Good bass, crisp highs, beautiful looking, and simulated surround sound
Cons: Bulky, a little quirky to get good sound without a hiss in the background, pricey
INTRODUCTION: The selection of wireless headphones has never been better than it is now. With growing popularity comes increased competition, which has basically eliminated the days of fuzzy sounding wireless headphones with uncomfortable frames. ...

Good for whats on the market

by ks2cents , Jan 10 '08
Pros: comfort/Rnge/sound
Cons: no on/off power switch on base/no idividual earcup volume control/location of headseat switches
I recently purchased the sennheiser 130 model. Let me first start by saying that I am 46 years old and suffer from tinnitus in both ears. In my case my Tinnitus is accompanied by hearing loss. The reason I wanted a set of wireless headphones is : · I ...

Great sound, long battery life.

by spyhawk , Jan 14 '06
Pros: Very comfortable, Great sound, Long life replaceable batteries
Cons: Low hiss at low level audio/silence.
I just got this set about 3 weeks ago and i love it. It fits around my ears very comfortable. I have owned some headsets that feel nice and comfy at first but after an hour or two they start to irritate my ears. I have worn the Sennheiser RS140 for ...

Big Headphones, Big Sound

by alanmak , Jan 23 '08
Pros: Good price, robust sound.
Cons: Rather large headset, but light.
User Profile I wear them in our loft condo when I'm watching TV/movies while my wife is working or sleeping. Comfort is my first priority (I may wear them for hours on end), sound dynamics are a close second. Background and ...

Expected Better From Sennheiser...

by lovinitall , Jun 21 '09
Pros: - After the initial charge, battery life is good.
- Support for 2nd headset is nice.
Cons: - Short range
- Charging cradle requires headset to sit 'just right'
I just purchased the Sennheiser RS-140 unit and the companion headset (along with an additional battery). I use them when I practice music (guitar), and these headphones were intended to "unplug" me. They did, but....- The specs claim a 500' ...

Not what I expected.

by mistybreeze , Apr 03 '06
Pros: Comfortable. Portable. Lightweight. Good stereo sound.
Cons: Static/Hiss. Range.
I previously owned the Sennheiser T40 and was impressed with the range and sound quality, but I use them while I am working around the house and yard and every time I bent over they fell off. I thought I'd shop for a better set. The RS130 headset is ...

Quite Impressive. Wireless, and sounding great!

by soundavarice , Aug 25 '06
Pros: Convenient. Chargeable. Good looking. Well built. Lightweight. Decent sounding. Your neighbors will be happier.
Cons: Hiss if source isn't loud enough (so turn it up). Wireless (you should know that!)
Simply, do not expect these cans to sound as good as similarly priced wired headphones. After all, you wouldn't expect wired headphones to excel at allowing movement across the breadth of your home, now would you? I've heard really great headphones ...

Very disappointed.

by xoltri , Mar 10 '08
Pros: Comfortable, attractive design, long battery life.
Cons: Poor wireless reception, background hiss, expensive.
I bought these because they were the top of the line wireless headphones from Sennheiser. I am very disappointed in them. First of all the wireless reception is very poor. Simply turning my head in relation to the transmitter would cause crackles, ...

VERY POOR RANGE AND BAD HISS
by nacaporale ,Jan 21 '07
Pros: Comfortable and lite
Cons: Poor sound, poor range and poor value
I am very disappointed, I get a lot of background noise and hiss no matter how close I am to the transmitter. If I turn my head I could lose the signal. If I use leave the room where the transmitter is located the sound gets very distorted.

Not good for the office
by mr_booth ,Nov 04 '07
Pros: Good frequency range/response Comfortable No wire!
Cons: Interference
I work in a hi-tech office where there a number of wireless devices and other electronics. I bought a pair of these headphones just so that I didn't keep trailing the cord across my keyboard when working, but even though I have the transmitter on my desk 2 feet away the reception is not good - there is frequent drop-out and interference, and a constant hiss and crackle between songs. The 3 channels offered for the device all have the same problem. When the signal is clear and the music is playing they do sound very nice though, and are quite comfortable to wear. I may end up taking them home to see if they fair better, and perhaps try some IR headphones for the office.

Very nice headphones and the best sub $200 wireless model I've found yet
by mr-hudson ,Sep 25 '06
Pros: Nice looking, very good sounding, well constructed
Cons: price is understandably a bit higher than others but shipdog.com eliminates that barrier
I use wireless headphones in conjunction with my PC and reviewed the findings of many others on some Sony models and I personally owned the Panasonic RP-WF930 model. After my review of feedback from others on the Sony and after a not so nice experience with Panasonic and their very limited 90 day warranty I decided it was time to try another brand. The Sennheiser RS130 model is remarkably clearer and better constructed than the Panasonic RP-WF930 model I replaced after 10 months of ownership. I did have to change the channel from the factory default to one of the other 2 possibilities but doing so totally eliminated the slight interference I found with the default channel. The volume is loud and clear. the controls all feel very precise and responsive. I prefer the cloth covered ear pads and headpads as they do not make my ears hot like the vinyl on other models. Thanks Sennheiser for putting care into the design and operation of this product, I love the headphones and will recommend them to anyone needing a moderate to high-quality wireless listening experience.

Well worth the money - Best I've ever owned!
by jaburns ,Sep 24 '05
Pros: Long battery life, no pop, no hiss, range over 150 feet, very comfortable
Cons: None.
I've been a long-time user of wireless stereo headphones. I like to smoke cigars, but my wife makes me sit outside on the porch when I smoke. I've been through a couple of sets of wireless headphones over the last 10 years so I know what I'm talking about.
I was looking for a new set and did my research. The Sennheiser RS140 seemed like it had the best features but lists at $220. I decided to take a chance and found a new pair on Ebay for about $150.
I am amazed. No pop, no hiss, range is well over 150 feet. They are very comfortable to wear. I often fall asleep with them on and wake up the next morning with them still working. I am very happy with my purchase. No line of site required, batteries last at least 10 hours (maybe longer - that the longest I've gone before recharging). Setup was a breeze, and recharging is even easier. You just set the headphones in the cradle and they recharge - nothing to plug in like the Sony's.
I give these headphones my highest rating.

sound quality sucks!
by danstan ,Dec 07 '05
Pros: mobility, that's about it
Cons: BAD BAD BAD sound quality, price
I bought these for my office. I am sitting 3 feet from the transmitter and the sound quality is just unbelievably bad. The amount of static/hiss is incredibly high. The sound quality is definitely worse than FM radio. Do yourself a service - don't buy wireless headphones - the technology is not mature enough!
