Pros: Very low operating cost and very quiet. Big well designed door opening. Cons: Chassis front developed squeak on high speed spin. A little dirty water left in seal.
This was my first front load washer and I now can't understand why top loaders are still selling! Everything about clothes laundering is better in our front loader. Front loaders should be able to control the water temperature internally as it does ...

Pros: Super Quiet, Easy to Use Controls, 2 Year Warranty, Build Quality, Energy & Water Efficient Cons: Pricey, Not stackable
I actually own the Bosch "Nexxt" washer & dryer. The Bosch "Nexxt" series is exactly the same as the Siemens "ultraSense" with the exception of a few cosmetics. They were both made by Bosch in the same plant on the same assembly line. ...

Pros: Quiet, low water use, excellent cleaning performance Cons: Vibrations during spin cycle
I looked at competing products from Whirlpool/Kenmore and LG. Kenmore got scratched because of its price and Sears' ridiculous price for an extended warranty. LG also suffered due to price and Star Wars appearance. Sales associates at Best Buy also ...

Do not buy unless you want to go to the Laundramat often
by jennifer89 ,Mar 18 '05
Pros: No pros this is a defective product - we've had 2. Cons: We're spending money at the laundrymat while waiting for our washer to be replaced again!
We bought this washer in December because it was considered top of the line with Siemens, three days later it started filling up with water on it's own with no clothes in it and forced the door open and flooded our laundry room. Siemens was VERY nonresponsive about fixing it - a repair man would come out maybe in a month. We talked to everybody at Bestbuy where we bought it and finally they agreed to come and exchange it with another Siemens. What a mistake. Now three months later the door sensor has gone out and it won't lock and therefore we can't do laundry again at home for a month. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There is no way this product will last 10 years let alone 1 year.

Don't waste your money!

Pros: None - Unless you like spending a lot of money on poor quality Cons: Lousy engineering, poor quality, They do not back their product.
Purchased thinking it would save money. Just the opposite. The front door seal is way too soft of rubber material and tears about oncer per year requiring about a $150 repair each time.
Failing to repair and you have leaks all over your floor!
We are on our 5th door seal now. At this rate we will spend more on the repairs than we paid for the unit within another year or two. We won't be buying another Siemens product!

Don't waste your money

Pros: Is quiet and holds a lot of laundry. Seem efficient when it works properly. Cons: Door seal is way too soft. Tears with normal use, $160 repair.
The Door seal tears with normal use between 6-8 months. Had this unit 3 years and on my 6th door seal. The rubber seal they use is way to soft. I will spend more on repair bills than I paid for this unit if I keep it, so I'm unloading this money pit to get a good old fashion top loading unit. Plus the detergent is 3 times more than the regular detergent.
Save your money!
