After my bike was stolen I decided it was time to get serious. Cable locks aren't strong enough and U-Locks are too common. Either one of these proves to be an easy target for a bike thief. When choosing your bike lock don't just randomly pick a lock ...
Pros: Unusual lock design, compact, frame mountable Cons: Short, heavy, expensive, key needed for both open-close, key turns easily while in lock
When you get a bike over 1000 USD you quickly start to worry to leave it outside with some kind of a cheap lock. If you want something that really protects, there is not much choice left, there is Abus, Kryptonite and with the big and heavy chain ...
Pros: Compact, durable Cons: More costly than most other locks
Now that I have moved into a city and my bicycle is the primary mode of transportation, security has become much more important than when I lived in a small town where everyone knew each other. Over the last year I have been through a number of locks, ...

Its transportable
Unique design
Cons: Too small
Heavyish

I am a student at Manchester Uni (UK) and bought this lock to cover a £500 (~$900) bike. It was pretty easy to use and I would recommend it however I have a few concerns. Firstly the Pro's. Pros: It is very strong and basically I doubt it can be ...
Pros: compact fold-up design. works on motorcycles Cons: heavy, chrome looks cheap
The Wedlock in something that when you look at it you wonder what it is. Then when you figure out what it is and what it does you think... duh, why didn't they do this in the first place. I have 3 of these. The early ones were red and the latest ones are chrome. The chrome is sort of bling and looks ok if you like that sort of thing. I like the red the best because it warns people that this thing means business. Plus the chrome looks a little cheesy like it's not as strong. I guess it's all that fake chrome coming out of China that makes me think of this in the same light. The Wedlock comes in a rubber carry case and includes three keys for those ADD biker people like me that loose keys all the time. I even use one as a full time motorcycle lock. Fits right through the wheel and front brake rotors so that's always a plus. The lock is a tad heavy but worth the security. I've never had mine tampered with or break so I don't know how well it lasts to bike theifs.
