Pros: Customer service, coverage area, clarity of signal Cons: High cost of downloading ringtones. 15 cents per text msg.

Sprint has poor coverage and customer service
by zone2cat8 ,Dec 31 '07
Pros: Service fairly good with Nextel but many more dropped calls and problems connecting after merger. Cons: Customer service takes forever to get through and doesn't know answers. Rural states coverage nonexistent.
We went on a driving vacation and found that sprint had no service in most areas -Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado etc. When I returned, I ported my number and even though I checked with sprint they failed to tell me they don't prorate the monthly charges so I paid for a month I didn't get to use. The worst is that I had to call three times and go through their long voice mail tree with several people before I could find out why I had to pay for over 20 days of service I didn't get! It turns out that the multi-page, tiny-print contract I signed years ago says they don't prorate. I was told that I should know the terms because I signed the paper.
