Pros: Great coffee, stays hot in the carafe
Cons: drips and overflows until you fix it.

For me, this was a great coffeemaker until a year ago when it started to overflow and make a mess all over the counter. Here's the fix! Buy a one-inch round felt pad with an adhesive back-the kind you'd use to help your furniture glide on a wood floor. Stick it right on the fat push-button top of the carafe. Now when you slide the carafe under the filter holder, the spring-loaded stopper thing will be depressed far enough for the coffee to flow freely.

I guess that over time the top part pulled away from the carafe just enough that the spring-loaded stopper thing didn't work.
