Symantec Norton 360 Full Version for PC (037648318846)

Pros: Nearly free with applicable upgrade rebates; might work, simple once installed.
Cons: Buggy, stack overflows; only 30 days after purchase to submit rebate; subscription issues.

Purchased this product (license for 3 computers) in late Nov. '07 at Staples. Installed and successfully activated on 2 networked computers in Jan. 08, replacing Kaspersky. First computer has intermittently crashed with stack overflow problems, program also causes Norton Ghost to crash. Then 6 days after activation, Norton automatic internet update service disabled the license/protection on erroneous ground that subscription ended. Phone tech support is PAY ONLY, or by e-mail. No substantive response to e-mails. On other computer, however, so far, seems to be working, no crashes, no Norton Ghost conflicts. Very basic comprehensive protection program but with no frills.
