T-Mobile Phone Service in Kansas City

Cons: Still many "dead zones" in Kansas City.

I've had T-Mobile in Kansas City for 4 years. The coverage has gotten better, but I still drop calls regularly in Midtown (Southwest Trafficway) and indoors. It's about the cheapest service in KC, which I like. Customer service is outstanding, unless you have a question about one of their PDA phones. Then you will be on hold forever or get a call back in a few hours. My contract ends in May; I'm going to shop around before I sign another contract with T-mobile. Cingular customers get great reception in the parts of town I frequent (midtown, northland, johnson county).

Unless another company has a great phone I want, I'll probably end up signing with T-Mobile again.

Cons: No 3G, roaming in rural areas isn't always seamless

T-Mobile covers the KC metro very well. Call quality is simply outstanding and much better than I experience with my AT&T work phone. I think I have dropped a total of two calls in the past four years I've used T-Mobile. Customer service is generally outstanding and most reps are very knowledgeable, both in store and on the phone. The only thing I feel T-Mobile lacks is a faster 3G data network, although I understand this is in the works. Overall, highly recommended! My entire family and about 75% of my friends have made the switch and all are very satisfied.
