Pros: Effective, quiet, filters air; made in Japan. Easy to move & set up.
Cons: Attach tube to drain water, or machine stops in 6-8 hours for emptying water collector.

Pros: None.
Cons: The air stinks of lubricating grease while it is running.

Performance seems to be variable. Sometimes it starts cooling with in 5 - 10 minutes, other times it takes an hour before a definite difference is noticed. But the big thing is the smell.

Cons: Pricet for a small a/c.

Its a great tool for cooling a small to medium sized room. Easy to move, great window kit and many online accessories. It does the job.

I bought this unit for my upstairs loft. It was 120 degrees up there in summer even with the window open. The TID-2400 unit keeps it cool now all summer. Very quiet...I go up there now to talk on the cell phone.

This air conditioner arrived just in time for the worst heat wave of the summer. I bought it for my home office and it cools the 12 x 12 room more than adequately. It was very easy to set up. When I had overnight guests, it rolled easily into another room for their use. They slept very comfortably. This air conditioner is quiet and effective enough to cool a small to medium sized room. I was amazed at the amount of moisture it pulled from the air.

I really have no complaints to state. The water bucket is conveniently located at the front of the machine. It slides out for easy emptying. This appliance does not cool as well as a conventional window air conditioner, and it costs considerably more. But the ease of use and convenience of portability make it well worth the cost.
