Pros: Location, beach, friendly staff Cons: Old, needs maintenance work, parking, lack of entertainment
She's an aging hotel, doing her best, but age is age. She should charge yesteryear's prices to keep customers happy. My hubby and I fled our home, 20 minutes south of the Sirata for an anniversary getaway. We enjoy St. Pete Beach and the entire ...
Pros: Nice grounds Cons: Rude staff, lousy reservation service,
ac needs to be colder, needs mattresses
We just stayed at the Sirata. The Staff The front desk clerks were sub par and indifferent. I had requested a king size bed and was only given a roh room. The reservation was made a month earlier. The staff at the desk didn't seem to care one ...
Pros: Great pools and beautiful beach! Cons: Definately that hotel feeling!
We booked a parlor "suite" at the Sirata in 2002. The room consisted of two double beds right when you walked in the door, leading to a narrow hallway where the bathroom was, and through the hallway there was small living room with a kitchenette, table,...
Pros: Beach, weather, water Cons: Aging facility, inadequate help
We went for a conference in 2005 and the first thing I noticed about the room was the bathroom. Its right in your face - with a teensy hall as you walk in. The price was outrageous, $1200.00 for 5 days. The beach, however, was lovely and we did have a ...
Pros: Inexpensive, get access to all Tradewinds Resorts, close to Island Grand Cons: Booked room with King bed, got 2 doubles
Our stay at the Tradewinds Sirata Beach Resort was over the New Years holiday. The gave us a pool side room that for the rate ($79/night) was adequate with the exception of booking a king room on the web and not getting one on arrival. The benefit of...
Pros: Sirata Resort was great, white sand, tranquility (relative to east coast Florida) Cons: Not many entertainment options
I spent some time vacationing in St. Pete’s Beach recently, with my wife, and I was pleasantly surprised by the place. For the past five years, we’ve always been going to Florida’s east coast, namely Miami Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. And we enjoyed those ...
Pros: Beautiful beach access at relatively low cost.
Friendly staff. Cons: Room had a very dated feel, as though it were decorated 2 generations ago.
Highlight was a very friendly staff that seemed generally interested in my satisfaction. I was told to request the "newer" building (of 2 I think), and was given a nice room. I booked through lastminutetravel.com and got a road-facing room with no ...
We booked a one night stay for a spontaneous getaway. Upon going to sleep, we quickly realized we were next door to a group of noisy spring breakers. We're younger, "25 & 26" and have a higher tolerance for disruption, but this raucous behavior was unreasonable. After four phone calls to the front desk throughout the night, and no action on their part (not even the suggestion of moving us to a different room), we checked out at 4a.m. I informed the front desk that the a/c had broken down as well. We drove home an hour and a half to sleep in our own bed. Miserable and exhausted, our weekend was ruined.
Pros: Beach, Beach, Beach. Fine white sand beach.
The Gulf has clean warm water. Gentle waves. Cons: Housekeeping. Staff could be friendlier.
I stayed at the Sirata Beach Resort Hotel from 08-11 Oct. 2004. The Hotel is no longer a part of the Tradewinds Group.
The room given me was worn out and needed to have the mattress and pillow replaced along with the carpet and chairs. Housekeeping was poor during the entire three night stay. Room came with one drinking glass which was never replaced! Drinks at the beach bar were $5.00 each. The hotel is kept full by European Package Tour Groups and Spring Breakers. More money needs to be spent on maintenance.

Pros: Nice location, pretty room, and nice pool. Cons: Pros do not make up for the cons already listed in the review.
1. I was given incorrect keycards to the room and when I called from my cell phone outside the room, the girl at the front desk actually told me to come back and she would give me new keys. I had to ask for someone to bring them to me since I had all of my luggage outside of my room. I shouldn't have had to ask.
2. You have to pay to use their wireless internet!! Thankfully I was able to use a nearby area's wireless network without leaving my room. I can't believe they charge their paying customers for internet. I totally understand making it necessary to log in using specific information, but to actually charge for something that the best western and la quinta freely give out is ridiculous. I believe that if you pay for a hotel room, you should be given access to their internet service free of charge.
3. Ridiculous parking fees!
