Pros: Low cost - Good wireless range - Easy setup/config Cons: Wireless drops at least daily if not hourly... requiring several restarts to get it working.
We just got broadband. I wanted wireless network access out to my shop. I bought the Belkin F5D9230-4 (G Plus MIMO) because it was advertised to have longer wireless range than other similarly priced routers. I hooked it up and setup all the wireless ...

Pros: Simple, basic router with good range. Good price. LED placement and configuration is above average. Cons: Limited configurability. Some adapters drop connection. Small networks only. Security features limited. No ethernet configurability.
The F5D9230-4 Firmware Version_3.01.53 Sets up pretty easily. The range / transmit power appears to be significantly more effective than previous Belkin (F5D7230-4) and LinkSys (WRT54G with hacked Firmware set to 100% radio power) routers I have used ...

Working just fine
by davinakb ,Mar 01 '06
Pros: Easy set up and install. Good range, adequate speed. Cons: Standard set-up procedures not addressed by manual or web site.
I got this router a few weeks ago to replace a different model that crashed. Having just set-up my previous router, I was familiar with the installation tricks and set-up was much easier this time. This model has good range, holds a signal well. Setting up a password protect for WPA or WEP was also pretty simple.
This router is being used for a small, home office network and a MAC PowerBook G4 and is working out just fine.
