This was my first webCam and I got my moneys worth and then some! As long as there is decent light, the best quality picture is the setting small on msn messenger. I used the camera mainly for chatting, so I didn't use the software that came with it. Just as a note: when you first start using the cam, you will have to adjust the coloring and brightness settings to get it just right so don't panic when it's on the reddish side when you first plug it in. I recently upgraded to a higher resolution webcam, because I was looking for a bigger picture, and ore options in darker settings. I still have my first one as a backup though:)

The video was horribly slow. At the lowest resolution, the frame was was nowhere near 30 fps...try more like 2. For serious. I returned it to the store the same day.

I purchased this little camera to just try out the whole video IM thing and it works great. I have seen better image quality from my friends higher-end Veo camera but this one works fine for me.
