Pros: Great features, very convenient/easy to use. Cons: Sound quality not perfect, small buttons.
First, this review is actually for the 3959 model, but I couldn't find it. From the picture, I think it's pretty much the same thing. This is a great piece of equipment. Here is what I like: The CD alarm clock..... You can program it to play any ...
Pros: It's kind of nice looking. I guess. Cons: Impossible to navigate buttons in dark or without glasses.
I bought this alarm clock because it looked like it had the sorts of features I wanted - dual alarms, gentle wake and a CD player. Little did I know that I would want to throw it out within my first week of using it. First off, I wear glasses. I ...
Pros: Excellent audio quality, CD+CDRW compatible Cons: Analog tuner (not digital tuning)
I picked up this CD clock radio on sale, not expecting too much in terms of sound quality, but was amazed at how good it sounds out of the box. The unit has stereo bass-reflex speakers built into its diminuitive case, and rivals the sound quality of one...
Pros: sound, functionality Cons: difficult navigation, must physically pull open the CD tray, display "invisible" from certain angles
This CD alarm clock has all of the functions that I wanted. They all work as expected. However, like a previous reviewer says, navigating the functions is very difficult. A prime example of this is the way you have to press the alarm button 4 times to ...
Pros: Sound, Price, CD's, 2Alarms, gentle wake Cons: For the price, none!
I have yet to hear a clock radio with better sound, at least for less that $100.00.
I looked at the Sony and GE radio's in the $70+ price range and none of these radio's could match the sound quality of the 3950. The only thing missing from...
It works well after 7 months... But there is one thing missing, which is a battery backup. Which means that every time the power goes out at my mom's house (I got this for her), she has to call me to help restore the settings on the clock. Not that it is hard to set up, but it is not easy for an elderly woman to program it. If this only had a
battery backup feature, it would be great!
While this clock radio has many excellent features, the best feature, in my opinion, is that the sound quality is excellent. In fact it is by far the best of all the clock radios I tried. It packs an alarm clock, CD player, AM/FM tuner in a reasonably small footprint - one which does not forsake sound quality. There are many useful features such as dual alarm clocks - one for weekdays, another for weekends. The alarm could be a beep, CD or radio. You can set the alarm to start softly and gradually get louder - I think this is a great feature too - you don't get jolted out of bed. The display is easy to read and has three levels of brightness. It has a snooze button. It seems to be built well. There aren't any noticeably flimsy parts, etc. as in other models. I would highly recommend this product, in fact I recently purchased another for my daughter.
