Pros: Smooth, Quiet, Plenty of Power, Excellent Value Cons: Minor Electrical Problems
My mom has owned the Lexus ES300 since October of 1991, when it was a brand new model replacing the ES250. In fact, I helped her shop for that car as she wanted a new car for under $30,000 ($30,000 is where the luxury tax kicks in). The salespeople at...

Pros: Good ride, good interior ergonomics, nice looking body, reliability Cons: Maintenance costs, boring dash, solid car but no thrills. The Bottom Line: Nice solid car, find a toyota dealer or a personal mechanic to take care of it though. I still love the looks
I have owned this car for about 8 months now, and have got mixed feelings about it. It is a very nice sporty looking car, I just love the front lights on the car, and the best thing is that the body style is still up to date, it does not look like a 9...

Pros: value priced Cons: dealer support, snob appeal, camry clone
Since no area exists for the 91 es250, I'm using this space. I test drove and kept an es250 overnight to "try out" when I was shopping for a used car some time ago. My overall impression of the car was favorable for the price and equipment it...

Pros: Quiet luxurious feel, a lot of car for the money, good re-sale value, still looks fresh and appealing. Cons: Chintzy interior trim pieces, long term durability, high repair costs, cramped interior compared to its German rivals.
I bought a pre-owned Ruby red 92 Lexus ES 300 with a mere 17,000 miles on it in the spring of 1994. I drive 40,000 miles + per year so buying 1-2 year old low mileage cars is a good strategy which works for me. I kept my car for about 2 years and...

Pros: A perfect problem free family car. Cons: Service at Lexus dealers is too expensive.
In 1992 I purchased a new Lexus ES 300. My wife and I had been driving a Toyota Cressida and were very happy with it, but since it had been driven for 60,000 miles and we were planning a trip across the country, we decided to purchase a new one. We...

My husband and I wanted a luxury car for sometime but thought we could never afford it! We started shopping around the smart way and to our surprise we were wrong! We found a 1992 Lexus ES300 for an awesome price (way under blue book!). The previous...

Pros: Ride smooth Cons: Reliability, performance
I've owned more than 50 cars in 25 years and this was the worst ever! Constant problems with dash lights and a connecting rod through the block? What was Toyota thinking when they built this? I love the Toyota product but this was crazy. Unfortunately I didn't read about these cars on the forums available online. Most comments were great but when you look closer there seems to be a common problem with all of them regardless of what year or even model. Dash indicator needles quit before there time. Auto climate controls breaking down early. Engine reliability issue's. Under powered for the weight or the car. Price of parts compared to Toyota. Practically gave away the car just to be able to sleep at night. If you like to tinker on cars then be ready to spend the money and time.
