Pros: Horsepower, comfort, reliability, safety Cons: Drive line "clunk", fan motor squeaks
The 1997 Yukon is a little more than your average "grocery-getter". I ordered the two door model with every option, save the running boards. At $31,000 (sticker of $36,400), the vehicle was not cheap, yet it has proven to be a wise...

Pros: SAFE Cons: not good for single or couple
The GMC Yukon has been proven to be one of the safest cars on the modern road. Therefore making it a great car for a teen to start with. Not only would I buy this vehicle for safety, but for its flashy and swift look also. The reason I like driving...

Pros: Size, Power, Luxury... Style. Cons: Size, Gas Mileage, Rear Windows don't roll down very far at all. The Bottom Line: The Yukon will fulfill your needs.
The 97-99 GMC Yukon, which is pretty much the same as the Chevy Tahoe 97-99, is a real prize to own. It is rumored that the Yukons run better though due to the open grill design, allowing more air to the cooling system. An obvious advantage.

Pros: Looks great, big engine, great a/c, sound system Cons: brakes, rear windows, no 3rd seat
I wanted to get something bigger and better than a dinky Ford Explorer but didn't want the long whaleboat of a Suburban. The Tahoe seemed to be everywhere, the Yukon seemed a bit more distinctive, if only by name plate. In fact, it's the same as a...

Pros: Handling, comfort, stereo, Cons: No third seat, passenger seat not as comfortable as drivers seat
My family recently purchased a 1997 GMC Yukon. We bought this vehicle because of our growing family. We love the size and comfort. There is plenty of cargo space, which is important when taking a family of 5 on vacation. I have found the Yukon a joy...

Pros: Power, roomy, comfortable, durable. Looks nice on the inside and out. Cons: backseat windows only roll down 5 inches. Also clanking noise and skidding break problem. The Bottom Line: I have been through 2 cars since I bought the Yukon and I still have it.
I bought my 1997 Yukon SLT back in April 2001 when it had 40,000 miles on it because I was moving from NY to Texas and needed something to tow a Uhaul trailer full of my stuff. I bought it from a Dealer that was a good friend of the family and got a ...

Pros: Strong, powerful engine. Nice steering wheel, four wheel drive. Fast and furious. Very spacious Cons: Very high up, a little tougher to drive than a regular car. The Bottom Line: BUY THIS IF YOU ARE INTO HEAVY DUTY CARS THAT GET THE JOB DONE.

Pros: nice to drive, comfortable controls and seats, versatile, tows well, holds value well Cons: could get better gas mileage, more expensive than comparable vehicles from other makers The Bottom Line: Great all-around truck for people who need more than just a 'grocery getter'.
I bought this truck four years ago. I wanted a vehicle that could pull my horse trailer, haul my dogs to dog shows, be 4-wheel-drive, and be of general all-purpose use. I have not been disappointed. It is fun to drive, has held up well, has had only one ...

Pros: it will pull a 30 foot house trailer with no problem
Cons: air conditioner quit working in 2006
This is being written in Sept 2007 so you will know that its gone through some snow, salt, ice as we live in Ontario Canada up on the Bruce Peninsula. the body has very minor paint flaking at the door posts (all four) and the back doors have some flaking as we pull a trailer and it has gotten stone chipped from bouncing back of stones off trailer, this vehicle waxes up to good condition. No rust through. Vehicle has just under 300,000 kilometers or 180,000 miles.
